Здравствуйте!
Скачал исходный код с примерами:
Graphic JavaScript Tree with Layout[^],
но не могу понять, почему не применяются стили.
Может мне кто-нибудь помочь?

Очищал кэш, менял название файла и испробовал практически все, что есть по этому поводу в интернете.

Don't post this under Quick Answers - if you got the code from an article, then there is a "Add a Comment or Question" button at the bottom of that article, which causes an email to be sent to the author. They are then alerted that you wish to speak to them.
Posting this here relies on them "dropping by" and realising it is for them.

However, the article is nearly 20 years old and the author hasn't logged in since the start of Covid, so you may be better off finding a more modern example - web design and web design languages have evolved and changed a lot in that time so you may be making a rod for your own back by starting from such an aged example.
