it's a drumroll.

I hate to say it because someone probably poored his hearth and soul into it, but what's up with all those annoying animations in that article?

I was thinking the same thing. Adds no value, unless you value distraction. It sure is "cool" though

Its a bit like Code Project's posts on articles at the moment, which for some of us at least causes a F**K of a lot of unnecessary scrolling.
(I'm suffering from motion-sickness like illness at the moment, and it isn't helping one bit).

You should stay near guys in my office. If you're not faint hearted, you'll enrich your swearing collection when they miss the charm bar or switching to metro for skype then back to firefox to paste the url.

Over the past couple of years, Microsoft has been building web projects to show off the power of the modern web. The idea is that with the right code, the line between offline and online application is quickly blurred as modern web standards allow impressive applications to be created and executed from within the web browser. To highlight many of their projects, Microsoft has created rethinkie.com "That's how it's gotta be now, 'cause I don't have the time for your over loaded lines. You better be good to me."

Yay, Walter!
Now give us an elephanting Boolean type!
Ah, I stand corrected... Yay, Walter! 'Bout frickin' time. Why didn't you do that ten years ago when we asked you to the first time?

There's no bool in D? Not even a VB-esque "just about everything is true"?
What do you use instead?

Same as in C.
OK, old information, sorry.
However, it's still not a true Boolean type, in that you can still cast to and from other types -- I don't think that's a good idea.

I presume you're referring to the D Programming Language[^]? (i.e. the one authored by Walter), with its bool type?
Or are you off on some tangent of your own here?
