I once shared a cube with 3 other programmers. My first day one emailed me and said if I had any questions don't hesitate to ask. I replied back and said I would give them a jingle if I did. Programmers don't talk to people, why would we talk to an inanimate object? Besides I don't think I want my laptop typing in the words I say when my code doesn't work the way I want it to. Maybe I'm just old school introvert.

I just wrote my first voice generated PERL script:
open open bracket no open bracket you stupid pile of tin am i meant to say ( ah yes so i am good now where was i yes open bracket damn no backspace backspace will you delete all start again open ( o do come on infile comma arg vector zero no you berk that's dollar sign upper A upper R upper G upper V open square bracket zero close square bracket o my god are you serious i have to leave at midnight close square bracket close bracket oh not again god i hate computers awe no i said awe not or really where's my goddamn keyboard die double quote no scratch that just die
It's a cool enough script but for some reason it won't run.

Another proof... they won't stop doing "studies" of the elephantingly obvious just because their interest is in the funds and no the relevance of the "conclusions"

Don't forget the "I'm a cr@p teacher who wouldn't last ten minutes in the real world, and I haven't got a clue what to do with my students!" factor.
Never ascribe to, and all that.

Early reports of 'Oumuamua's odd characteristics led some to speculate that the object could be an alien spacecraft, sent from a distant civilization to examine our star system. So much for a "Rendevous with Rama" sequel

Given that astronomers have to admit they were "mistaken" 80% of the time, it's much more than reasonably safe to assume that Oumuamua is an alien spacecraft, sent from a distant civilization to examine our star system.

Microsoft announced it almost a year ago, but starting today Windows Phone 8.x handsets will no longer receive app updates from the Microsoft Store. "Something touched me deep inside, the day the music died" (or the books anyway)

It's no secret that data science is a good career path. The jobs are in demand, the salaries are compelling, and the work is interesting. So how does someone break in? "Stand back: I'm going to try science!"
Or, "I like big data and I cannot lie"
