Microsoft says the update will offer “performance improvements, enterprise features, and quality enhancements” for Windows 10, and that it’s currently targeting a September release. Especially for those who have turned off Windows Update

M.D.V. I just installed 1903 on my main machine at home and after 1+hours of the percentage installing showing 27% the update completed.
I was excited until I discovered that my ethernet adapter was no longer connecting to the interwebs.
I updated the driver and tried a bunch of things then I decided to just switch the modem on and off again which fixed the connection issues.
Thanks Microsoft !

Building desktop applications with C# and WPF is still a rich and active area of development, but if you're looking to the future of either a current project or a new endeavor, you need to evaluate what web development tools, languages, and frameworks are the right investment. Step 0: run away, screaming

According to WCJB, city manager “Joe Helfenberg confirmed that the director of information technology, Brian Hawkins, was fired” as a result of the attack. The buck stops there
"The city deemed the employee in question to have left city networks vulnerable to attack, but he was not the individual who downloaded the malicious attachment, the Times added."

So it was obviously his boss who downloaded the file.

A new study from Docebo suggests professionals across the world want to learn skills to help them at work… but the training just isn’t there. Rarely is the question asked: Are... is our developers learning?
I hope this one will go over well. Getting some popcorn to watch the comments!

From the article: 40 percent of older pros in the United Kingdom and 28 percent in the U.S. feel they “don’t have the skills needed to win a new job.” Well, they're idiots, then.

Samsung is currently struggling to get its next-generation handset, the Samsung Galaxy Fold, to market, and what makes it even more important is that the company sees the device as part of a bridge to a smartphone-less future. Especially when they (don't) ship like the Samsung Fold

They're absolutely right.
I mean, the predictions about the death of the mainframe, when the PC came out, were absolutely correct.
As were the predictions about the death of the desktop PC, when laptops came out.
And also the death of the laptop, when tablets came out.
You can't ignore these guys; they're always right. They must have a hotline, straight through to Agnes Nutter.

Microsoft has fun on Twitter teasing a new release of Windows 1.0 and all its apps, including the game Reversi. I hope this isn't the new lightweight Windows they were promising us
But the return of Reversi!
Yeah, probably a Stranger Things promotion (Windows 1.0 was from the Upside-down anyway). Time will tell, I guess.

Even then. You can dislike the top brass for the greedy decisions, but the mail room guys trying to feed their family? I guess that would assume the potential senders had the mental capacity to think before acting.
