A small sphere levitated on sound can be moved around fast enough to be a display. "This is our most desperate hour."
I'm sorry, I don't seem to get it. It seems to be a glorified (and limited) POV "display"

Since the May 2019 Update, Windows 10 has been showing a warning when users connect to WIFI networks secured via WEP or TKIP warning users that these protocols are now easily hacked. Coffee shops will never be the same again

How do they think they can get away with that when so many hackers depend on it?

only fools are using WEP for wifi connections. It is extrem insecure so first choice for attacks.
WPA3 is coming with state of art encryption and massive improvements in performance and latency
Press F1 for help or google it.

It was big news in the Dutch newspapers, read an article about it last week. No more jokes about Belgians please
|
|
|
|
|
So these Belgians are sick of the Dutch always calling them dumb.
The Dutch government decides to do something about it to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
So the Dutch build a bridge in the middle of the desert.
The bridge does absolutely nothing and the whole world forgets how dumb Belgians are and laugh their ass off at the stupid Dutch.
After a few months the joke passed and the Belgians tell the Dutch it's been fun, but the bridge can be removed.
"I'm afraid that's not possible", says the Dutch prime minister.
"Why not?"
"A couple of Belgians are fishing on it."

Why couldn't the Belgian terrorist blow up the car?
He burned his mouth on the exhaust pipe

A free new app called “Rocket Science: Ride 2 Station,” created by NASA, lets you control your very own SpaceX Crew Dragon or Boeing Starliner. It’s a game that allows you to explore the basics of what it’s like to run a commercial crew mission into space. Sadly, not a real one. Only Elon gets to play with those.

A social network, where everyone can edit your profile... what can go wrong?
Or are they implementing it using blockchain?

A European bank makes customers pay to change their passwords, and suggests they Google their password to check if it is secure. It's always good to be the #1 at something
I'm not just famous, I'm INfamous

Oh really, that's a great idea. Just checked my password at Google: "P@ssw0rd1" returns "About 12.200 results". That's more than 10, so it's not secure. I hope CP won't charge me when I'll change it soon.
But that will take time. Just found out that "P@ssw0rd2" returns "About 602 results".
Oh sanctissimi Wilhelmus, Theodorus, et Fredericus!

Google says Go has quickly gained traction in the enterprise for writing large-scale applications. Well, there's ... uhm... wait, I'll think of one
OK, two samples in the article. One a rewrite of Python and one of Java. Yeah, I could see getting better performance out of loads of choices in languages, but Go-od for Go.

The (rather large) company I work for is shifting a lot of Java stuff to Go, for footprint reduction reasons.

Windows 10 version 1803 got its final set of security patches on Tuesday. I'm sure all those users really want the upgrade, after all
And I'm sure it won't break anything
|
|
|
|
|
Let me fix that for you : they will attempt to automatically "upgrade" you. This update has been attempted three times on my laptop and failed every time. This thing has the Synaptics touch pad and its driver is quite problematic. It is the most difficult driver to uninstall I have ever run across.
