I heard they are merging it with Team Foundation and calling it "Ultimate WTF Platform", because new labels on old products is what its all about.

Done right, this could be good news (Positive spin mode). UWP only worked on tiny devices that nobody bought and is a total PITA on everything people did buy / use. So dumping UWP and making existing apps work properly on "real world" devices could be a brilliant move.
They're going to automatically make Win32 apps look like UWP with a Ribbon, aren't they? And probably add Clippy.

HOWEVER, you can still do it "the old way", because at its core, Windows still needs to maintain backward compatibility with the millions of existing Windows applications that are already out there. They've been trying to push WinUI for the last 5 years or so (since Win8 was a bad idea).

I, for one, welcome our new framework overlord.
Seriously, this sounds exciting because I won't have to ditch everything I already know about Windows development to use the new UI.

Microsoft and the biotech company Adaptive are launching a new study on how the immune system fends off the coronavirus — and they’re paying patients for bags of their blood. Are they adding this to the Windows Defender virus signatures?

Swift 5.3 has recently entered the final stage of its development with the creation of the release/5.3 branch. One of the major goals for the upcoming Swift release is extending official platform support, including additional Linux distributions and Windows. Because all those Mac folk have been wanting to program for Windows

Beginning with Windows 10 version 2004, which is already available to OEMs and developers, the company is no longer offering a 32-bit version of the OS to OEMs for new PCs. I guess I won't be upgrading that 386 in the closet then

I don't want to imagine how it will perform in old computers needing the 32 bit windows 10

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
