I wonder how much will it then take to someone to come up with B.A.R.B.I.E.

The new standard, called Global Privacy Control, will let you activate a browser setting to keep your data from being sold. Something else for all the websites to ignore

Microsoft will soon offer different installation experiences when setting up Windows 10 based on how you plan on using the computer. Don't worry - no matter what you check, you'll still get Candy Crush

In other words... they will still need to get more "telemetry" to be able to offer the "best installation experience" specially for you

"Looks like you're going to be doing some software development. Would you like help with that?"
The difficult we do right away...
...the impossible takes slightly longer.

I just installed Windows 10 on my son's computer. I was going for Consumer, but it installed Enterprise instead, then wouldn't let me create users with a Microsoft Account login without joining a domain, so I had to create a local account, go in and look for where to put in the Consumer license key so he could just use his MS account like a normal person. Sheesh.

Just stop MS, please?
First you give us developers auto reboot, "because you know better."
What part of don't f*** with it don't you understand?

Crowdsourcing has drawn a lot of attention as a way of predicting and mapping future coronavirus hotspots based on user-reported symptoms. However, it’s also an increasingly popular approach to software application testing, engineering, and quality assurance. There's a new term for something Microsoft has been doing to us for decades?

As-yet unnamed “NewCo” will handle IBM’s “managed infrastructure services.” I'm guessing they won't go with "I" and "BM"?
"Little Blue" and "Cyan"?

I’ll show you how to build a web application utilizing WebAssembly with .NET, XAML, and C#. You’ll build a simple XAML app with some form controls to collect data and display that data in a ListView. There's a new idea! Write once, run everywhere.

We identify some of the hot areas where software developers can focus their attention to better stand out from the crowd in a challenging job market. "Glutton for punishment" somehow didn't make the list

Hours before his 13th birthday, Jackson Oswalt (USA) fused together two deuterium atoms using a reactor he had built in the playroom of his family home in Memphis, Tennessee. He's the glowing one

Quote: Within his home, Jackson’s lab is quite extensive and he describes it as having too many parts to even write down! Probably monied parents. I'm guessing very few children will have the opportunity to do such a thing. But still, neat accomplishment.

Remote workers in the UK would rather suffer in silence than reach out to their IT department for help, a new report from NetMotion claims. After all, all they do is check to see if you've turned it off and on again
That's what I learned from that documentary series

In my case, we simply realize that nothing will be done to fix the problem.

Researchers from the University of Michigan have created self-erasing memory that could be used to stop counterfeit electronics or deliver alerts for shipments tampered with in transit. I've had that for ages
Probably because of my ages
