Solid-state drives may be the go-to for phones and most PCs and laptops, but the humble mechanical hard drive still has a place in the computing world. Graphene solves everything 5-10 years in the future (from 5-10 years from now, GOTO :start)

Some of the world's most important sites went dark today — all because a company called Fastly made a server mistake. Good thing we've got a reliable distributed internet there

Good luck for Fastly that StackOverflow was still reachable...

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

After all, as goes Ohio, so goes the world, right?

Did anyone else read this article?
I'm curious because the author says, "the Python machine learning library scikit-learn[^] is written in Fortran"
He provides a link to wikipedia entry on sci-kit learn which says that the library is written in python and the entry doesn't mention Fortran at all. ???
Does anyone know what the author is talking about on that?

Remember, the helpful anarchist who offers you explosives cryptography is probably a Fed.
It gets better though, if you go to the site where they were running the operation; in addition to the standardized takedown notice and logos, they've got a contact us form:
To determine if your account is associated with an ongoing investigation, please enter any device details below:
The only thing that would make me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 even harder is if, a few months from now we learn that some idiot who wasn't IDed when they did the takedown used the form and pwnd himself.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

While it isn't quite the full-fledged Xcode on iPad that some developers have been clamoring for, Apple on Monday announced that Swift Playgrounds in iPadOS 15 will be greatly enhanced, teaching users how to build iPad apps and even allowing them to be submitted to the App Store. Now I can use that great iPad virtual keyboard to dev with!
