My great grand dad used to be a docker in Liverpool. I though dock workers were on the decline.

I have the vernacular (and social skills) of a docker - does that count?

As long as you don't have the venereal diseases of a docker you're fine.

At long last, Microsoft has released Team Foundation Server 2015. This version of Microsoft’s ALM collaboration platform packs a breadth of new features and capabilities, from a build system overhaul, the new Team Project Rename feature and Continuous Delivery capabilities in the Azure build pipeline, to Git and extensibility improvements, and revamped agile project management.
About damn time.

For the past four years, London startup OpenSignal, which tracks networks and sensors, has released an annual report on fragmentation in the Android ecosystem. I think I'm going to ignore that, "Test on all devices" requirement

There haven’t been many updates for Windows 10 since Microsoft launched its new operating system last week, but today the software giant is rolling out a cumulative update designed to "enhance the functionality of Windows 10 through new features and improvements". Have we gone from "Patch Tuesday" to "Patch Every Tuesday"?

Ah, I saw this update. But I ignored it, another piece of junk.

What's the patch, Windows 11?

No, noooo! They skip versions now. 8 -> 10 -> ? ... take a guess what comes next.
I'm only afraid they're skipping the good versions.

They are skipping the good versions...it's just Vista and Millennium from now on...just the ticks of the 'tick-tock' cycle...the tocks being the versions they finally get right

It fixed one funny issue for me that I didn't have on any RC/insider version ... applications installed after Win installation weren't shown in Start->Search ... all kind of related hits (folder names, documents, web, etc...) were shown, but not application launcher ... really annoying, as this is my preferred way to launch any app

Now Windows 10 has launched, Microsoft is starting to fill in the blanks regarding features removed from Windows 7 and Windows 8 and it doesn’t make for pleasant reading. Insert 10p to continue

I tole you. - go ahead, stone me.
Soon the features you have to pay for are going to be oh something you really need like oh... explorer.exe

Well, what a surprise... but, hey, you got the upgrade for free, isn't that something?
In case of Solitaire, this particular one was already stuffed with ads when it was turned into an app in Windows 8, so this is not really news. More bothering than the ads is the fact that you never knew what new bugs the next update would bring (according to the ratings, a lot of people - including myself - got problems with sound effects and rendering glitches), sometimes it worked perfectly but the next update broke it again.
And the DVD player... what a joke.

With how fast they were trying to kill Windows 8, I'm surprised they didn't pay YOU to upgrade. Or simply make it mandatory.
|
|
|
|
|
Well, it's free, so YOU are the product, why would they pay YOU?
