It believes it didn't get a fair shake amid fears of Russian influence. If someone won't buy your product, sue?

Clearly it is all a misunderstanding. They thought the government said "My fear is russian influence in your product." When I believe the correct interpretation is "Mafia is russian influence in your product." It happens to me all the time when my kids think I'm asking for a pizza paper.

The new chip design, published in the journal Nature Communications, details a novel architecture that allows quantum calculations to be performed using existing semiconductor components, known as CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) - the basis for all modern chips. Except for the pixie dust required to make it work

This seems like it is set up for failure:
Cortana Devices[^]
Invoke[^]
Did anyone even know this was / is a product?
Why would you buy this over Google Home or Amazon Alexa?
Who would?
Just not sure.

Yes, I knew about it.
I bought one (Christmas present to myself from my wife).
Why - consistency across devices (desktop, laptop, xbox, phone).
And from my Halo playing days, talking to Cortana is more fun. Who the h31l is this Alexa chick? Never heard of her or seen her in a video game.

Okay, now that is an interesting and valid reason.
Didn't know there were that many people who were using Cortana that much.

I'm still not seeing the point of Google Home or Amazon Alexa. All the ads and use examples seem so contrived.
A good speaker system to stream music... fine.
A voice activated personal assistant to buy my wife flowers when I screw up... meh!

I totally agree and I own a Google Home which was gifted to me last Christmas.
The main thing I use it for is streaming music. And, of course, unless you are part of a paid service that isn't even very good.
Google brow beats you continually to "join Youtube Red" for $9.99 a month. Way too expensive.
I use free Pandora to listen to music via Google Home but even with that Ms. Google drives me utterly crazy at times trying to route me to Youtube Red.
If I don't say things exactly right then she says, "You need a Youtube Red subscription to do that"
I've found that, like any other animal, we think we program AI but really it programs us.
EDIT
I do like the ability to set "hands free" timers too. Ours is in kitchen and you can easily say, "Hey Google, set a timer for 13 minutes". Quite helpful if you cook.

- Cortana experience may vary by device.
And the last thing I want is some device in my house that's constantly listening to everything I say. It's bad enough that the cats report everything to their home planet.

What kinds of things do you not want the device hearing you say?
Please list 10 or more in the available space below.

Here's a shorter list - things I would like to share with those listening to my conversations that have been recorded :
[EOL]
PS - this is not just me being afraid of "big brother." Samsung was recently fined several million dollars because they were recording conversations heard by their TVs and retaining the recordings. I do not consider Amazon, Google, or Microsoft to be any more "benevolent" than Samsung.

I find mixin classes interesting because they provide another approach to the CRTP to achieve something equivalent, and therefore provide a different trade-off. Plus, you get the added bonus of searching through more files when debugging!

The algorithm is having a cultural moment. Originally a math and computer science term, algorithms are now used to account for everything from military drone strikes and financial market forecasts to Google search results. "Stagger, stagger, crawl, crawl, jump..."

|
|
Just the other day, I actually heard someone say, "You could use an algorithm for that couldn't you?"
I replied, "Yes, you could, but I'll look for an alternative."

We knew this day would come. One of the major parts of our formative years on the worldwide web -- we called it that back in the day -- will cease to be. AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) came to a close a few hours ago. ICQ, AIM, can we hope for Messenger or Skype to follow?

Before debugging the code we must follow a moral code. Debugging needs a Golden Rule. A rule to remind developers of a few important facts of debugging. Submit bug reports on others as you would have them submit bug reports on you?

Answering with another quote (not literal and don't remember who said it)
Quote: 1st rule of debugging: Don't debug
2nd rule of debugging(only for experts): Don't debug (yet)
