Apparently selfies are popular.
With the common meme of selfie hating I guess that both selfies and selfie haters are common.
I don't care either way, but what tickle my curiosity the most is selfie haters.
Why the hate? Whey even care?
Please, enlighten me!
[EDIT] Oh sh*t, did I really post that in "insider news"?! My bad, very sorry!
I would have sworn I posted that in the Lounge!

Not sure this makes for Insider news, but I'm a selfie-hater when said selfie interrupts what I'm doing. Case in point, went to a concert a few weeks ago, the people directly in front for me were taking selfies one after the other, the flash was freaking blinding. After a while I took to flipping the bird during said selfies as I was in most of the pictures. Within three or four pictures they gave up, resulting in a round of applause from the folks behind me. If you are not bothering me however, take as many as you want.

Agree with the other posters: this is the wrong forum.
But on a related note, what's the deal with people calling any picture of a person or animal a "selfie", even when they clearly didn't take it?

If not KSS, as selfie affectionados, they should read this, anyway:
I hate the selfie phenomenon.
It's basically a form of public masturbation, with the intent of having the event, or at least its memory, shared with others.

What about above-average websites? And below-average?

This is a really good place (and probably quite instructive) to have not only the average (mean), but also the mode and the median reported.

Suppose, a litre of cola costs US$3.15. If you buy one third of a litre of cola, how much would you pay? Is this going to be on the test?
|
|
|
|
|
$3.15 because you can't just buy a third of that liter of cola. Plus, that very expensive cola.

And if they do sell smaller units, they are sure to be more than a third of the price.

Only if the shop workers can handle basic arithmetic.
I've lost count of the number of times I've seen large packs of things selling for more per unit than smaller packs. In some cases, you could buy the equivalent of 150% of the larger pack for less than the cost of the larger pack.
But then I wonder whether there's a diabolical marketing strategy behind it: make people think you've made a mistake, and they're getting a bargain, and they'll probably spend more money.

Well, almost. You forgot to add the price for getting rid of the remaining two thirds of a liter. Don't litter!
