SD wrote: “Digital disruption across industries is driving businesses to seek streamlined methods of building modern apps and digital experiences. While businesses need to rapidly transform themselves digitally to remain competitive, they cannot afford to sacrifice the quality, differentiation and security of the apps and experiences they build,” said Arnal Dayaratna, research director for IDC Lots of keywords for our buzzword-forum, but if you quantify correctly, the statement contains 0 information and all bullshit.
In order to be competitive, companies cut quality and security. Security is blamed on the programmer, where it is the company that decides the strategy and pays for all stuff being done (and deciding what is not done).
Rapid changing industries do not mean that the code has to change rapidly, and we have years in experience in making stuff dynamic, instead of static.
Aw, and the low-code platform? Already beaten by much cheaper (and already present in your IDE) code generation.

"digital experiences"
What in the wide world of sports are those?
Regardless, I much prefer analog experiences since they involve, you know, your senses and stuff like that.

Check Point Research has uncovered two massive mobile adware and data stealing campaigns, which have already had a combined total of over 250 million downloads globally. If only there was some one to check all these apps before they became available
Some kind of ... centralized store, perhaps. With a verification process?
Nah. That would never work.

Researchers now report in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces a step toward running electronic devices in homes and offices on the light coming from lamps scattered around the room. I turned off my lights, and now my lights aren't powered!

Could someone please introduce them to the word "efficiency", in the sense that it's used in Physics and mechanics?
Here's the thing: if you turn just one of the "scattered lamps" off, you can use the power that saves to do fifty times as much "device powering".

In a bizarre turn of events, Microsoft has removed a green hat from the Visual Studio 2019 installer. The company quietly removed the graphic from Visual Studio installer after it offended people in China. Next we'll go after those red polo shirts

I'd bet a whole 50 cents that not one person in China was offended (because WTF has an IDE installer got to do with cuckolding? Who would even look at it that way? I guarantee that Chinese devs wouldn't), but, instead, it's a typically cretinous ms marketing ploy.
