So far, physicists have identified four fundamental forces of nature: gravity, electromagnetism, the strong nuclear force, and the weak nuclear force.
But now, researchers have found new evidence for a fifth force of nature — and it could help us finally unravel the mystery of dark matter. Midichlorians?
Political opinions? (repulsive force)
Duct tape?
The force that causes there always to be a headwind when you're riding your bike?

Researchers from Trustwave’s SpiderLabs discovered the spam emails, which come with an 'Install Latest Microsoft Windows Update now!' or 'Critical Microsoft Windows Update!’ subject line. Microsoft, of course, doesn’t send out Windows updates through email. It's bad enough we have to worry about the legitimate Windows updates

IT operations teams and security teams within a company don’t communicate as well as they could, which makes the entire organisation more vulnerable to cyber-threats than it should be. "Why can't we all just get along?"

I disagree... there are companies where they are not more vulnerable.

That's my environment, though. The USAF has so much security absurdity in place that it's almost impossible to get anything done.

On the one hand, there’s an understandable desire to standardize — a set of approved languages can help reign in maintenance costs and long-term viability. But equally, many of us recognize the benefits of using whichever language the developer feels allows them to express themselves most eloquently. 42?
Or rather I guess 43 as 42 is the right number?

I have seen time after time developers introduce frameworks and languages that they like and then impose on others with huge change and cost by re-writing perfectly maintainable systems because it was not in their currently favourite language.

There's no such thing as "too many languages".
Pretty much EVERY language ever developed fills a specific perceived need. When you get right down to it, it all results in binary code. You're pretty much restricted to using the language(s) required to do the job. Period. End of discussion.

and now someone can post the "And now you have 15 standards" xkcd for me please?
