We have said this many times, but we will reiterate again; .NET Core and then .NET 5 is the .NET you should build all your NEW applications with. Aaaaaaand it's already deprecated for .NET 6... Oh, sorry, 7. Scratch that...

It didn't seem auto-translated to me. Just extremely poorly written. It's like he barely speaks caveman.

I was being charitable.
Mind you, it's inspired me to add "You write like google translate" to my clip library, for when I'm reviewing work that people believe should make them millionaires.

A poorly written rant it was.

As the world grapples with the continuous spread of coronavirus, more companies are making tools to keep people informed about the pandemic. Earlier today, Microsoft rolled out a new live dashboard to track the COVID-19 outbreak. It's a shame no one will see it

No it shouldn't. Just amazing. You think I, as a developer, want to use the command line??? Morons.
Then again, I also don't want ribbon bars with more empty space than actual content.

Kent Sharkey wrote: I get the feeling that this push to put everything in a CLI is like the “need” for dark mode. Herd mentality I really don't get that.
Backlit screens were the best thing since cordless kettles (which they probably predated, but I'm not going to waste my precious time and effort changing it to "sliced bread"). Why anyone would want to go back to white text on a black screen is beyond me; the whole "dark mode" thing is a joke.
It's either Ludditism or reverse elitism -- I don't care which; I just want it to go away.
The only thing I have in dark mode is Steam, but that's only because lighter skins don't work for it, any more -- and that's one of the three reasons* that I would rather buy from any other outlet that has what I want
* The others being that you hit too many "You can't get to there from here" moments in the UI, and that it screws up your gamepad controls when you play non-steam games (because it just has to run in the background all the time, doesn't it? Computers only exist to run bloatware from game shops).
