To celebrate the release of .NET 5.0, we are happy to announce the release of dotnet-script – with support for .NET 5.0 and C# 9. Putting the C# in the CLI
Or would that be C#LI? (command-line interface, for the non-TLA lovers out there)

Script 1.0.0 for .Net 5.0 and C#9 to be used with Visual Studio 2019 from Version 19.5.x in Windows 10 versions 1809 to 2004...
Could they not unify a bit all those indexes / version numbers?
No mystery that people who are not that involved in tech end mixing everything up and confusing the devs... I am starting to get confused myself

On modern versions of macOS, you simply can’t power on your computer, launch a text editor or eBook reader, and write or read, without a log of your activity being transmitted and stored. "I always feel like somebody's watchin' me"
Yeah, I use that one too much.

A major technical challenge for any practical, real-world quantum computer comes from the need for a large number of physical qubits to deal with errors that accumulate during computation. Instead of 5-10 years away, they could be 60-120 months away!

My hp laserjet (inherited) just broke and I have to buy a new printer...
Guess which brand is not going to be in the "check for new device" list?
I have been pissed by HP in several ocasions, not only printers but laptops too. I won't give them any money more if I can avoid it.

FWIW, I've been happy with my Brother[^] - it's one of the few purchases I haven't regretted.
And agreement on HP laptops. I had one a while back and it ended up on the regret pile very fast.

I'll second your Brother recommendation, bought a color laser printer last year, it just works.

I must differ. I (and my family) have been buying HP laptops for quite a while (at least 8 years), and they've been solid workhorses. The only problem I ever had with one was when I dropped it, and the screen developed a line across it, otherwise functioning normally.
Perhaps our usage profile differs from yours.

Still sticking with Lenovo and/or Dell for the foreseeable future though (until I get a lemon from one of them)

Err. Ahrm.. Because HP remains in the market.
They made a 500mhz bandwidth CRO in 1960. That was impressive.
Much of their last 60 years has been a dissapointment however.
