Today, on June 17, 2021, Microsoft will discontinue the publication of drivers to Windows Update for Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2. Goodbye my friend will I ever love again

The search giant is working to allow Rust code in the Linux kernel, a major technological and cultural shift after decades using only C. Good news! Except to poor, poor hackers.

Why? Lately Hackers have only to wait until the security researchers bring their hands on it...

Apple has been under a mountain of scrutiny lately from legislators, developers, judges, and users. Amidst all that, CEO Tim Cook sat with publication Brut. to discuss Apple's strategy and policies. Privacy is a human right ... as long as it doesn’t cost us money.

New information in the form of end-of-life (EOL) dates for Windows 10 and a leaked screenshot of something purporting to be "Windows 11 Pro" heavily imply that serious changes are on the way. Come Windows 10, I myself will carry you through the gates of Valhalla.

Not sure Valhalla is where Windows 10 is destined for, isn't there another place?

A researcher has uncovered one of the more unusual finds in the annals of malware: booby-trapped files that rat out downloaders and try to prevent unauthorized downloading in the future. Y'arr, there be a hole in my pirate ship.

A new survey from Allconnect adds that two in five Americans don't even know what speed they're paying for. The other 27% just want MORE!

Need and want are two different things.

True, and I definitely need to keep reminding myself of that.

With apologies to Samuel Gompers, "What do internet users want? More speed!"
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

In Visual Studio 2022 Preview 1 you can automatically complete code, up to a whole line at a time! Your tab key will thank you

The National Security Agency (NSA) has shared mitigations and best practices that systems administrators should follow when securing Unified Communications (UC) and Voice and Video over IP (VVoIP) call-processing systems. Because if you're going to trust someone to protect your communications, ask the group most likely to monitor them

We’re now in the second-half of the .NET 6 release, and starting to see significant features coming together. Now with new stuff I can't be convinced to look at yet
What a weird coincidence that these two have releases so close to one another.

New research suggests that remembering a song in your head is more than a passing nuisance -- it plays an important role in helping memories form, not only for the song, but also related life events. Because I needed to remember that it's a small world, after all...
And now so do you! :P
