I mean that's cool and all Christian, and I'm happy for you. Seriously. But so far I've seen two modes: complaining and bragging. You made a post about your lady about you, not about her. You can take this info and just think I'm an a**, and I'm sure you'll find some peeps on CP to agree with you. Doesn't mean I'm wrong though.
And hey I get it, I complain on here too... a lot. A lot, a lot. So, I'm a total hypocrite. But, I'm a hypocrite that's been around the block, man. And, I'm also a hypocrite that knows what it's like to be treated like an object by a chick and vice versa (back in my dumber days). The only thing this post is missing is bikini shots on a yacht.
And for peeps that think I'm saying this from a place of jealousy, Christian knows me well enough to know it's not.

LOL. We are two middle aged people. I was just saying that I had a nice weekend. I'm sorry if you don't have weekends like that.

I expected more of you than this. This little high horse you got is sad. What's tomorrow? Gonna brag about a new PC? We are middle aged, which means we should know better.
And, you don't want to compare weekends man... you will not make me stoop to your level. But, I invite to think long and hard about our conversations over the decades... you should know better.
And yes, I'm holding you to a higher standard because we're supposed to be more mature than this now man.
Either way, glad you're happier. I'll shut up now.

TBH I was thinking I had a good weekend and thought it a nice way to end telling the story of my marriage failing. I feel bad for you

TBH you're wrong. I feel bad for you.
I bet my computers cost more than yours... I'm gonna talk abut that now and feel bad for you if you don't have expensive computers. And yes, I'm using PCs as an example in hopes you see it, but I have my doubts.

I am sorry you feel bad that I am in love. That was not my intention. And probably, my main PC now is a Mac Book Air I bought to complete an iOS project. My other computer cost $5k about five years ago and is falling apart. I only keep it because getting my Android phone to talk to my Mac is a bitch.

There's nothing else I can say man. It would seem, I'm just gonna appear to be a douche in this thread. Glad you had a great weekend.

VICTORY!
I found two bugs in my graphics library having to do with propagation of alpha channels when doing pixel format conversions. Fixed.
I found the problem with my colors not getting rendered correctly. Had to do with confusing byte order issues, between my library (big endian pixels), and what's left of plutovg after my integration (little endian pixels) and then again when I'm rendering it to png to test. Finally, I was occasionally forgetting to update my color macros when I changed channel orders to compensate for little vs big endian. ARGH. I finally sorted it all out. It took me 3 days of banging on it. Good news is I eliminated all the byte swapping.
Now my stuff renders great, at least for one SVG document. The others aren't rendering at all but I've got a good foundation, and a reference implementation that's known good to check it against.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my original post.
I feel slightly more informed to ask a better question.
My domain name is pjksolutions.com
Jeremy Falcon informs me my domain is registered with Tucows
My email is hosted by webhosting.uk.com
I want rid of webhosting.uk.com
So my new question is:
How can I keep my domain email addresses e.g. pete@pjksolutions.com etc.. I have 6
but have them hosted by someone else
I also want the data from all accounts migrated - it's IMAP
Hope this is clearer
thanks
Pete Kane

Never tried this, but here is how I would go about it. I assume you found a new DNS provider and mail host.
1. Register a new temporary domain with the new DNS registrar, say temppjk.com
2. Configure the new mail hosting server to accept mail to temppjk.com
3. In your mail client add the newly configured account and copy all mail from old account to the new one.
4. Transfer pjksolutions.com domain to new DNS registrar. The steps involved would be:
- notify your current registrar that you want to transfer.
- obtain from the the authorization transfer code (the EEP code)
- give this code to the new registrar to complete the transfer
5. Configure new mail hosting server to accept mail for pjksolutions.com
6. In your mail client transfer now the mail back from temppjk.com to pjksolutions.com
The only step I'm certain of, having tried it in the past is step 4 (DNS registrar transfer). For the rest, your mileage may vary.

Jeremy Falcon wrote: without the need to buy a throw away host You are right but if you choose a domain on on of the lower cost TLDs, a one year registration could be under 20$. Not a showstopper, me thinks.

That's why I said headache and not money. They could make him jump through hoops by having another domain in the mix.
Btw, made a typo... I said host when I meant domain. Still haven't had my coffee yet.

Here's the step-by-step, in order, for your particular situation. Not gonna get fancy and assume a different registrar or talk about white labeling...
- Find a new host. Don't worry about a temp domain unless the host forces you to get one, and if they do... I'd find a different host. For the sake of this post, let's call the new host Pink Bunny.
- Configure email hosting over at Pink Bunny using IMAP. The host will most likely handle the MX records for you with one of their domains.
- Create a
pete inbox at Pink Bunny. - Using whatever email client you use, export everything in your
pete inbox at webhosting.uk.com. - Import it to your
pete inbox at Pink Bunny. - Tell webhosting.uk you want to transfer pjksolutions.com to Pink Bunny. If they talk about losing email tell them to stuff it because you live on the edge. Let any clients know your email may be down for a day or so while this happens. You'll probably need to initiate this at Pink Bunny too. There will be a section somewhere about transferring a domain to them.
- Once the transfer is complete, expect to wait up to 48 hour (rarely takes that long, but could) for DNS to propagate. Just don't be shocked if peeps have a problem emailing you for the next couple of days.
- Change the domain used for
pete over at Pink Bunny to pjksolutions.com. More MX fun again, but Pink Bunny will probably handle this for you. - After you confirmed the new email is working, shut down your webhosting.uk account and never look back.
If you wanna get fancy in the future so you'll have zero downtime for stuff like this, we can have that chat over a virtual .

pkfox wrote: I also want the data from all accounts migrated - it's IMAP Oh, keep in mind pete is just one inbox/email account. If you have several, you'll need to import and export all of them (assuming they're not just aliases). But, as long as they're all IMAP, no worries.
