I am developing a web server with SSL security in it in VCS 2005.
I am using SSLStream class to handle the data transfer between the web server and
the browser.
After connection is established I am calling a SSLStream's Authinticateserver method but after that i don't any reply from the browser.
For simple client application we have authinticateclient method so it works fine.
But how can i do it for a browser.
Or if anyone can tell alternative ways to develop it.

Does a CDialogBar's parent always have to be a Frame Window?
|
|
|
|
|
IIRC, yes and no. That "Frame Window" concept is a MFC concept, not a native Windows concept, and as such can be tricking a little bit. I previously tricked it such that I could host a CToolBar and CDialogBar in normal (modeless, actually) dialog windows.
I am pretty sure that messing with the CWnd::IsFrameWnd() function is the first place to get started.
Peace!

Could some please please help me with the following:
I'm using the following simple code to connect to an ftp site.
CInternetSession sess(_T("TestProgram/1.0"));
sess.SetOption (INTERNET_OPTION_CONNECT_TIMEOUT, 30);
sess.SetOption (INTERNET_OPTION_RECEIVE_TIMEOUT, 30);
sess.SetOption (INTERNET_OPTION_SEND_TIMEOUT, 30);
CFtpConnection* pConnect = NULL;
try
{
pConnect = sess.GetFtpConnection"serveraddress", "user", "password", 21, 0);
}
catch (CInternetException* pEx)
{
TCHAR sz[1024];
pEx->GetErrorMessage(sz, 1024);
AfxMessageBox(sz);
pEx->Delete();
}
It works fine for several ftp sites. However, when I go to a customers internal network and try to connect to their ftp site I get 'The operation has timed out' everytime.
If I go to a cmd window.
'ftp'
'open servername 21'
Connects fine with anonymous (but no permissions to do anything).
Then specify user
'user username password'
Connects fine allowing me to read write etc...
Under dos I can do it, but windows I can't!!!
I haven't a clue why?
Could some one give me a clue to what I am doing wrong.
Really appreciate any help or pointers!
Eternally grateful
Richard Hudson

I'm not well versed in this subject but have you tried hitting the internal network with IE. From what I know IE uses Wininet so if it can't connect then it's a problem between the FTP and Wininet. Possibly.

On clicking the browse button i get the browse dialog. When i select some file by double clicking on the file name it works but when i select the file by single click and then use select button to get the path it doesnt work... please help me in this regard
foloowing the code
void CGraphDialogDlg::OnBrowse()
{
// TODO: Code für die Behandlungsroutine der Steuerelement-Benachrichtigung
static char BASED_CODE szFilter[] = "(*.dlm)|*.dlm||";
CString cstrBuff;
GetDlgItemText(IDC_BROWSE_PATH, cstrBuff);
CFolderDialog oFolderDialog(TRUE, cstrBuff,
OFN_HIDEREADONLY | OFN_OVERWRITEPROMPT,szFilter, this);
if(oFolderDialog.DoModal() == IDOK)
{
SetDlgItemText(IDC_BROWSE_PATH, oFolderDialog.GetPathName());
GetDlgItem(IDC_LOAD)->EnableWindow(TRUE);//Enables
}
}
Thanks in advance

What CFolderDialog are you using? It's not the CodeProject CFolderDialog nor WTL's CFolderDialog because they don't accept a BOOLEAN as their constructor's first argument. Without this information and without the source of CFolderDialog we can't answer your question.

CFolderDialog is publically inheriting from CFileDialog
class CFolderDialog : public CFileDialog
{
DECLARE_DYNAMIC(CFolderDialog)
public:
CFolderDialog(BOOL bShowFilesInDir = FALSE,
LPCSTR lpcstrInitialDir = NULL,
DWORD dwFlags = OFN_HIDEREADONLY | OFN_OVERWRITEPROMPT,
LPCTSTR lpszFilter = NULL, CWnd* pParentWnd = NULL);
~CFolderDialog();
.
.
.
Now have a look please ....

Does the same thing happen with CFileDialog ?
If you are wanting to browse for a folder, why not use SHBrowseForFolder() instead?

I want to get file name which is opened in a window by using handle of that window.
I can get Application name by opening process and using GetBaseModuleName.
I know window has file name (with application's name) in window's title, but I want to get it by some method/function, as every application has different style of showing it.
Can any one help.

|
|

There is no standard method for obtaining this as, like you say, every application has its own method for displaying and storing the name of the file it is currentry working on.
If you want to go low-level and ask the OS this question, see here for what is involved.

Hello DavidCrow,
Thanks for your suggestion. Actually I know about file system filter drivers,
but I want to know is there any simple method. Your suggestion make me possible to decide future solution.
Thank you again.
