Hi Dave ...
Got any suggestions? The JMail works when I use it in debug. I use a 3 projects to debug this service.
1. Coreclass (contains Functions for Start and Stop
2. Service (Only when doing a release. Use Core as reference. OnStart Calls Core.Start etv)
3. TestApp (My testappliacation. Use Core as reference. Has 2 buttons wich calls Core.Start and Core.Stop)
If I use TestApp then I have no problems. When I compile service I get all this problem.
Can I debug my service in any way? I write errors to Event-log but nothing gets there.

Did the forum "eat" your code or something? Becouse I really don't understand what you mean...
Q:What does the derived class in C# tell to it's parent?

how to get items count OF an Enumaration?

It is clear.
Imagine an enumaration
Enum Crypt
ASD = 1
SDE = 3
DFR = 6
RTE = 9
TEL = 12
MGJ = 17
EIV = 23
... .
End Enum
I need items count of Enum
for example any property like Crypt.Count
if there is no way i will write my own class.
|
|
|
|
|
It's easy - use Enum class
<br />
public enum MyType<br />
{<br />
First,<br />
Second,<br />
Third,<br />
Fourth<br />
};<br />
<br />
Then you can retrive number of items in this way:
<br />
int numOfEnumItems = Enum.GetValues(typeof(MyType)).Length<br />

Thank you for your help

It wasn't clear at all, i assume you are after the number of options in a specified enumeration??
string[] enumCount = System.Enum.GetNames(typeof(myEnum));
MessageBox.Show(enumCount.Length.ToString());
That should give you what i think you're after.

You'll have to ask UPS and DHL for support about this. You can start by clicking and reading this[^].

I'm not sure what you're trying to do but you can get at the sql datatypes using the System.Data.SqlDbType enumeration.

Hi,
I need to build a huge web application and I want to try and sort out my folder hierarchy. I want to group all related files in one folder. Currently I have started but not sure if it is right. There are many ways, I know, but I want to follow industry standards. Can someone please give me a basic guideline on file structures when creating an applicaion.
I have it like this so far:
root
App_Code
common (used for global variables)
components
BLL
DAL
App_Data
App_Themes
images
includes
stylesheets
javascript
I want to include alot of stuff, like email utilities, page settings, images, includes files (user controls) like headers and footer, exception, page errors, rich textbox editor, menus, etc. I like the way that DotNetNuke and Rainbow starter kits did it. I don't want to to through all my files in one directory, but have them neatly organised.
Please can you people advise!!
Regards,
ma se

Try asking in the web development forum rather than the C# one, more chance of you getting the answer you're after

Hi Folks,
I have requirement to print text and image. The text can be printed separately by calling Graphics.DrawString method and image can be printed by
Graphics.DrawImage. But I need to print them both in same command. The problem is when I call Graphics.DrawString first and Graphics.DrawImage later image overlaps text. Cann't I print image in next page in same event.
Any Solution to it.

hi,
I have a pdf editor software which opens pdf files in edit mode.
I am opening a pdf file through this software in my code.
The code is as follows:
Process.Start(Application.StartupPath.Substring(0, Application.StartupPath.ToString().IndexOf("Eviction")) + "PDF Editor 2\\PDFEdit.exe", "F:\\Covenant.pdf");
But, I want to pass some data to be displayed in the pdf file.
This software allows to insert some textboxes(with name given to each textbox) in the pdf file and save them.
So, when I open this pdf file through my code, I want some values to be displayed in these textboxes.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance.

Try contacting the people you got the editor from and see if they have a command line option for inserting the text you want, then you can call it from your Process.Start as above.
