I for one have never had an error browsing this site...

I don't know what errors you're talking about. The only issue I have with the forums is that my "back" button doesn't expand the previous post in the thread like one would expect.
That will be $0.02 please. Cash or charge?

I exclusively use this site because of the forums ... It really is superior to the "standard forum Packages" currently in development

I just wanted to suggest adding a category for Visual FoxPro.
Thanks,

I still have a soft-spot for FoxPro. It's data manipulation by code-
capabilities are yet to be beaten. Although the next version of C# seems to have that covered.

I don't see what it would hurt for you to add this to the forum. Do you have something against Visual FoxPro or something? Do you not know how to use it?

No they are still creating new versions. They just took it out of the Studio package due to .NET. Some people think this because Microsoft doesn't do a very good job of advertising the software. Actually it is a great database software and can be very powerful if you know how to use it.

We give FoxPro the same hard time that we give VBScript and Visual Basic. But guess what? CodeProject is still (mostly) written in VBScript, and many developers here use Visual Basic (.NET).
It's called "joking". CodeProject started off as a C++ site but most of us are sensible enough to know how to use the right tool for the job.

OK I understand and am glad to hear that you were "joking" but without knowing and being a first time visitor it caught me off gaurd.
Actually I like to joke around a little also but I just wasn't expecting the sort of replies that I received since I haven't ever had this happen on another forum but now I know.
:-DSo now what do you really think about adding a Visual FoxPro forum??

In all seriousness I just don't see any demand for FoxPro resources. If a bunch of developers start asking, or start posting FoxPro articles or questions then I'd certainly think about it.

It occurs to me that we need a bug icon for the articles when posting a message. This way, users can see whether the message is a bug or not.

I like the idea. Although, given that even most of the regulars don't change the message icon for their posts, I doubt many posters would use it.

Hi,
does anybody have an idea why I the 'Bookmark This' command on the CodeProject web page may have disappeared...
HOW CAN I GET IT BACK

Have another look at an article. You should see it.

I don't know why you had to go and hide it, Chris...

It would be cool if when linking articles from CP using the link and link[^] buttons that it would automatically fill in the description text from said article (
for example, I was linking Chris Maunder's Grid Control article in the C++ forum, and I pasted the link, and pressed the link[^] button.
for example
(replace this text with a description in the article[^]
instead of just showing the link address.

It would be good if I could specify that I only want to search for C# programs in my profile instead of having to uncheck the other four checkboxes each time I perform a search.
Thanks.
