Of course I did it.I can find the HTML files it has created in the folder I have selected in order to save the files.There exist the HTML files,I can open them and some of them are linked to each other,but the main one is not linked to the others.I think there is a problem with the links.
Thanks.

Hi
I am a novice at C# and have been trying a few small challenges. The latest being a small app containing 2 forms.
Could someone please explain (In simple terms) how if I have 2 forms I can call the contents of a text box from one form to another. Eg If form1 has a text box containing a file name how I can reference this file name in form2 to say open an image file in a picture box ?
It appears to me that even though both forms are in the same name space I can not refer to the text box in form1 from form2!!!
Thank in Advance

The Textbox is probably set as private. Which it should be.
Create a property that will expose the textbox text public.
then form1 should be able to get the data from form 2.
Hope this helps.
Coulda, woulda, shoulda doesn't matter if you don't.

Consider using Leave Event of the Textbox

Hi,
In my application i am placing some controls like combo, textbox into listview.
But these controls looks clumsy. So there is a need to increase the grid size
of he listview to make it decent.
I read in msdn documentation that it does not provide any functionality to do the same.
But it is achievable as the grid height increases when we place a checkbox in it.
Can somebody please help me? thanks.

Hi, You are new here so i'll go easy on you
1) SMS Speak is kind of frowned upon in a forum such as this, where we strive for clear, understandable questions. SMS Spk is well suited to a small device with a length limit (such as a mobile phone) but not to a forum like this.
2) Subjects of posts are important to people sifting through a whole forum for questions they can answer - so subject lines like "URGENT!!!!!!" or "PLEASE HELP!!!!!" etc are also frowned upon.
3) There is a thread at the to[p of each technical forum entitled How to get answers to your questions[^], and is well worth a read if you are new to programming forums.

Is there any way by which we can highlight an subitem in the listview?
I tried drawing lines around the subitem area, but they are not visible.
(actually I am not sure whether they are drawn or not)
Also I tried to fill the subitem area but painting is not happening.
Is there a method / way by which I can differentiate the selected Subitem from other subitems ( eg: make the text bold of selected subitem, etc ).
Please help. Thanks.

u can color the subitem by following way
ListViewItem lst = new ListViewItem();
lst.SubItems.Add("XYZ",Color.Black,Color.Red,Font);
lst.SubItems.Add("ABC");
lst.UseItemStyleForSubItems=false;
listView1.Items.Add(lst);

I have a combo box in the first column of a Datagridview. The displaymember is the inventory item key. I set the selectedvalue to the item description.
I have an event for "OnEditControlShowing" of the grid that checks to see if I'm on the combobox column, and if so, checks the selectedvalue to make sure it's not null. If both these tests pass, it wires up an event to the selectedchange on the combobox. This event populates the 2nd column with the selectedvalue of the combobox.
Problem #1, I have to click on the combo twice to get it to drop down.
Problem #2, there is no problem on the first row, but when I click on the combo and get it to dropdown on rows after the first one, the description displays "System.Data.DataRowView". How can I trap for this value so it doesn't display?
Thanks,
PF

I have a factory class that returns typed objects using generics. When run directly from an app, the code executes as expected, but when activated through remoting, I always get a null reference exception. When debugging, I cannot step into any server method that takes generic parameters, while regular methods execute as expected. Is this a limitation of remoting? Below is a code sample:
public class ObjectFactory {
//Works as expected
public int AddTwo(int first, int second) {
return first + second;
}
//Fails when activated through remoting
public <T> CreateInstance(string[] parameters) {
/* Ugly Details */
}
public ObjectFactory() { }
}
Any ideas?

I'm actually using primitive types right now to try and get some of the details worked out.

Just for kicks, I tried some other objects that I know to be serializable with no luck. Does any one have any other ideas?

When I use the Visual Studio 2005 DataSource Wizard to connect to an Access database, it seems that it hard-codes the connection string for the database file, but I can't find where.
How can I allow the user to dynamically choose a different database file at runtime, but still use the data-bound Grid View control?
Thanks
