Just declare them at class level and instanciate them inside the method.
PictureBox[] pcbMem;
Label[] lblMem;
private void CreatePictureBoxes()
{
....

this.pcbMem = new PictureBox[intCount];
this.lblMem = new Label[intCount];

To solve this problem, you could use a generic list.
using System.Collections.Generic;
List<picturebox> pcbMem = new List<picturebox>();
Private void CreatePictureBoxes()
{
...
for (int i = 0; i < intCount; i++)
{
PictureBox myPcb = new PictureBox();
...
pcbMem.Add(myPcb);
}
}

Hi,
use window.open method. assign features property in this method.
example,
window.open(sURL, "HELP", "resizable=yes,titlebar=no,toolbar=no,location=no,status=no,menubar=no");

|

|
You'll need a piece of JavaScript code, so you should ask in the web development forum.

erm, sender is not of type "MenuItem" - its pretty straight forward as far as error messages go!
Do you by any chance define a class in your project with the name "MenuItem"

Hi Pramod,
there must be a form-property called "ShowInTaskbar". Setting this to false should fix your problem.
Hope this helps,
Regards

Thanks,
Actually i had set that property but the actual problem was i had called the forms ShowDialog() method,
due to which that was visible.
Thanks for ur time

Hi There (sorry for my english, not my native language),
I'am using a RichTextBox (docked "fill" in a form) , with no word wrapping , my problem is that when it is polpulated with around 50.000 line resizing the parent form takes times.
Considering that :
-scrolling is fast
-I do not want word wrapping
It seems weird to me why there is this overhead when resizing(*).
I am thinking of a solution:
- do not dock the rtf , size it at screen maximum size (and so let the parent form hide the "out of client area" parts).
- handle scroll bars of my own
But before starting the big thing I will *really* apreciate if anyone has already solved this kind of problem or , have a better idea ???
Thanks in advance for any help or views
(*) WordPad for instance it rft based and is damned fast in resizing big documents.

Hi guys,
I am trying to find a way to modify the times in the machines power schemes to define the time when the computer will go into the standby mode.
I have scanned the MSDN (and there especially the WMI providers),
but haven't found anything there.
For my specific problem I would prefer to modify the time span directly, but as a fallback I could live with changing the used power schema.
Any help on how I can do this would be appreciated!
Cheers,
sogge

Use the SelectItem, SelectedIndex or SelectedValue property.

hi all,
i have two forms. one is a login form and the other is a main form created if login is successful.
on successful logins, i create the main form and hide the login form.
i do some socket programming on form2. and when i close the main one, show the first form again.
but this time the login screen freezes, and my form doesnt respond. so i terminate that application and rerun it again.
what may cause the login form to freeze when i close the main form ?
help please,
regards,
bye...

Try to see at your TcpListener.
The methods .AcceptSocket and .AcceptTcpListener block your main thread if you put your TcpListener ind your main thread. Just try to put the TcpListener in other thread.

Change your code, and try this one :
private void MakeConnection()
{
if (tcpl.Pending())
{
Socket YeniSoket = tcpl.AcceptSocket();
Soketler.Add(YeniSoket);
MessageBox.Show("new connection established!","new connection",MessageBoxButtons.OK,MessageBoxIcon.Information);
}
}
then :
private void IstemciKontrol(object o, ElapsedEventArgs args)
{
Thread thread = new Thread(new ThreadStart(MakeConnection));
thread.Start();
}

Hi all,
I have created Client Server application for chatting
I have a server application that runs continously,
I have a client application that starts and connects to the server
the server gets the request and connects to the client application
The client application gets the list of all connected users
Now the client itseld is thread running asynchronously,
Now i want the user to select a user from the list and start a private
conversation with that user.
I have downloaded the code from http://www.mastercsharp.com/article.aspx?ArticleID=68&&TopicID=14[^]
I have modified the server code to receive some special message so that the server can know that a specific user wants to chat with another user privately.
The problem is the client thread receives the message from the server and
i start a new client from there, but the new client window does not displays the controls on it.
Instead the window looks as if the processing is not completed,
but the application continues with other processes.
Actually not getting where the problem is
If any one could give a link for multithreaded Client Server application
that will be appreciated greatly.
Thanks & Regards,
Pramod

When the Listbox is populated in C# i want to add the String as well as DataValue for it.

Create a new class with 2 properties (Text and DataValue).
class MyItem
{
public string Text = string.Empty;
public object DataValue = null;
public override string ToString()
{
return Text;
}
} Then use this class for adding items to listbox, for example:
for(int i = 0; i < 10; i++)
{
MyItem myItem = new MyItem();
myItem.Text = i.ToString();
myItem.DataValue = DateTime.Now;
this.listBox1.Items.Add(myItem);
} If you select item, than you can get each object using:
MyItem myItem = this.listBox1.SelectedItem as MyItem;

Hi
I have a class that inherits from DataGrid. I can set the rowheights in a
DataGrid by tappig into the "get_Datagridrows" method. However, this does
not work for classes that inherit from DataGrid. Anyone know how to do this
on derived classes? I find it apalling that Microsoft provided a DataGrid
that is so inflexible!
