Umm... Less what?? There are default styles that you could choose from using the Form.FormBorderStyle property. Otherwise you'd have to inherit your own form and customize it as you like. Usually this is done using GDI+.

If you mean changing the color; Use the Form.BackColor property. If you mean giving it a background image; Use Form.BackgroundImage property.

Forgive me if I misunderstood you at first, but dialog box is different from message box. Anyway, changing the message box behaviour/appearance is done by changing windows themes. You can't change your message boxes alone. Another way is to make a form instead of the message box, and put whatever buttons you wish in it. This way you could change it as you like.

This question has been asked many times in this forums, and I haven't seen a satisfying 1-2-3 short answer yet. Yes, there are several ways of doing it, but not in pure C#. Take a look at GDI+[^] section, or C# graphics[^] section. I believe you could find somthing satisfying -it won't be straightforward as I said.
PS. The following two ways are quite hard and way out of the league of C#.
1- You can use GetWindowDC()[^] Windows API function, to get the Device Context of your window -somehting like the graphics object-. Then use Windows API drawing functions to customly drawing your window -including the caption bar-.
2- If you only want to change the gradient color of the caption bar, you can use CreateWindowEx()[^] function. It has variant styles that you can choose from, then box it into a NativeWindow using the NativeWindow.AssignHandle() method.

I used reflector to play around the .net 3.0 framework.
Looking at DependencyObject class, I found a bizzare attribute in use, called FriendAccessAllowed.
Google search yielded 0 results
So maybe someone here knows the answer? (Because I was really looking forward to see a friend classes for c#)

Hello,
VS 2005
What is the best and most efficient method for reading from a text file. Storing it in a temporary file or variable, and then finally appending it to another file.
Its important the file that it is being appended to does not overwrite what is already in there.
Many thanks for any advice,
Steve

This is pretty standard way of appending text to file: File.AppendText Method [^] It's not efficient enough in your scenario?

Hi All
How To Capture the value of textbox1 from Form2 to Form1
SAS

Hi,
please note that you need to read the value from an 'instance' of Form2. therefore you will need to, in some way, pass the reference of instance of Form2 to instance of Form1 when you instantiate the later at runtime. e.g in Form1 constructor or using a public method of Form1.
hope this helps.

What i need to be able to do is Convert a Colour to something - eg a Int or String and then store it in a XML file. I then get a Xml file back and need to convert that value back to a Colour but im unsure as to how to do this. Any help would be grateful.
Regards,
Gareth.

You can use the ToArgb and FromArgb methods to convert a color to and from an int.

It's amazing to see how much work some people will go through just to avoid a little bit of work.

How would i store an image?, i had thought of storing the image name and then getting that, but if its possiable to just simply store an image in byte form maybe that would be easier.

Is it possible to programmatically delete cookies? can anyone help me with this please.

You may be able to do this by deleting files in the directory returned by
Environment.GetFolderPath (Environment.SpecialFolder.Cookies)

Just Curious does that work for all browsers or only IE? That would be sweet because I run 5 or 6 browsers and would love to be able to delete all the cookies at once.
Like to clear all the caches as well...

I'm pretty sure that's an IE-specific (i.e. Windows) location only. Different browsers store cookies in different locations. This[^] app knows them and takes advantage of this fact.

Hello,
Is there a way programmatically to set the page properties, or something to print the HTML document without header, and a footer?
Right now I am using this command to do this:
<br />
HtmlDocument document = (HtmlDocument)webBrowser.Document;<br />
document.ExecCommand("Print", true, 0);<br />
But it always prints page number, and a file name on the bottom, etc...
Thank you.
