Hi,
I’m trying to get the aspx file name from the Http Request i.e. Default.aspx.
All I need is just FileName.aspx.
Any ideas please?
Regex? Or is there an alternative solution?
Thanks.

Use the following code to get file name from URL of the page
url = Request.Url.ToString
pageName = url.Substring(url.LastIndexOf("/") + 1)
Lets work it Out.........!

Thank you for your reply.
I found another solution too..
I first got my "filepath" string from the Http Request and then by using it the following way:
string filename = Path.GetFileName(filepath)
This also seems to work rather nicely.

Hi Dears,
I`ve created a subdomain in my domain like sub1.
Now when I type "http://www.mydomain.com/sub1/" in address bar, the dwfault.aspx page in sub1 directory has shown with no error but when I type "http://sub1.mydomain.com this error occured :
"Runtime Error : To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customerrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customerrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".
What does it mean ?

Hi All
Can someone share with me the architecture or Design for any large localization Web project which primarily publishes the content , I mean
something like MSDN help being localized to different languages.
Please suggest me how I can approach for localizing MSDN if I have all my resource files in XML format.
A guy in China should see in Chinese and in US in English , also
1)There are some security implications to be added like all content should not be seen in a particular page outside USA, only specific sections pertaining to that country should be seen in that localized language.
2)Can manifest of an assembly be useful in doing a dynamic way of localizing.
Any reference or suggestions with the pros and cons of the architecture is highly appreciated as this is a bit urgent need.

In the DateTime.Parse method you can specify a CultureInfo. Just create different CultureInfo objects for the languages.

I was writing a small asp.net application with vs.net, after I finish the aspx file, I double clicked a button in aspx file, it poped out the aspx.cs file. I built the project and it functioned very well, but in solution Explorer I can not find the aspx.cs file, I know it should link to aspx file, can someone please give me some hints, thanks in advance.

You can see the CodeFile attribute of the Page[^] directive.

Thank you.
do you mean the page directive in aspx file html code, it already specify the c# file, as below
<%@ Page language="c#" Codebehind="login.aspx.cs" AutoEventWireup="false" Inherits="dsscopy.login" %>
but its just not in the Solution Explorer, which is annoying when i try to open the c# file cause its not there.

Are you using VS 2005 or 2003? Can you try to select the Show All Files menu item from the main menu Project and see if the source file is displayed?

I'm working on an asp.net project, that involves a database. I am selecting some data from the db (more than one cell from the table), and I want to cast it into an array, such as a string array or an int array (datum in a cell will be an array item).
I don't want to use a tableview or a datagrid or stuff like that. I want complete control on displaying the data on the web page.
I'll thank you very very much for replies!

I'm not really sure how you want to display your data on the web page, and I'm doubt you'll have to build up your custom control to do what you need as the built-in ones are not so power.
