OK, what you need to do, is write some code.
Without knowing what sort of app you're writing, or where the data comes from, it's impossible to help more than that.

Hello
How to read text from file.txt into textbox on web page? I am using vb.net .
|
|
|
|
|
Reading text from a text file is as simple as File.ReadAllText. Passing it into a web page, is more complex, you'd have to host the browser in your app, and insert the text using the DOM.

Hi,
I dont know how to create crystal reports by using VB6. But i can help u for calling report from VB6. Here is a sample code
gtRptDsn = "DSN = " & ServerName & ";UID = **; PWD=****"
<report control="">.Connect = gtRptDsn
<report control="">.Destination = crptToWindow
<report control="">.Destination = crptToPrinter
in report function
<report control="">.ReportFileName = tcpath & "ReportName.rpt"
//stored procedure parameters
<report control="">.StoredProcParam(0) = GiSbuid
<report control="">.StoredProcParam(1) = iProjectId
<report control="">.StoredProcParam(2) = iVendorId
<report control="">.StoredProcParam(3) = ICategoryId
<report control="">.StoredProcParam(4) = IGroupId
<report control="">.StoredProcParam(5) = IMaterialId
//for header(like company name and addresss) use Fomula
<report control="">.Formulas(0) = "Company='" & GTEnterprise & "'"
<report control="">.Formulas(1) = "Add1='" & GTSbuAdd1 & "'"
<report control="">.Formulas(2) = "Add2='" & GTSbuADD2 & "'"
// to show report
RptQuotation.Action = 1
RptQuotationReport.PageZoom 100
// to make the report as a child of MDI form
<report control="">.WindowParentHandle = mdiFormMain.hwnd

If you want that much detail, read the documentation on Crystal Reports. Though I think all support has been dropped for VB6 in the lastest versions.

I'm using vb6 with Crystal Report8.5
I have sent a value to the "?text" field like this:
Dim rpt As New CrystalReport1
rpt.ParameterFields.GetItemByName("text").AddCurrentValue ("a")
How can I send the second value to the same field?
Thanks

Surely, if you was to move a second value to the same field, that would replace the first value.

I have created a datagrid that has a coloumn which value is calculated from two other coloums.
so the data datagrid column Total = Column Amt * Column Price
I would like to capture theevent when a cell is edited and enter or down arrow is pressed.
Once the event is triggered I need to asertain the cell row and column details.
Then I will add some code to recalculate the data and refresh the grid.
So the question.
How do I capture the enter after edit of a cell.
How do I get the row and column details.
Any Help would be apreciated.
Thanks

Hi
This is very urgent i have
if any one know about convert long number into date format
i have souce i java script but i want to convert into vb 6.0 code
1108508090 this is input number
var l =1108508090 *1000+86400;
var aDate = l; // miliseconds Since 1970;
theDate = new Date(aDate);
dd = theDate.getDate();
mm = theDate.getMonth()+1; // 0 based
yy = theDate.getYear();
if (yy < 1000) yy +=1900; // Y2K fix
alert (dd+'/'+mm+'/'+yy);
plz help me
|
|
|

You have a problem. What does this input number represent?? Is this the number of seconds since a specified date?
Without knowning this, it's impossible to translate the code. Java's Date class starts at Jan 1, 1970. VB6 doesn't really have a Date class, but can handle dates in a much greate range, depending on the representation and the functions used.

Hi
i understand ur confusion ,
here they are taking millisconds
|
|
|
|
|
OK. Since Java's epoch starts at Midnight, Jan 1, 1970, add the number of seconds to this date/time:
newDate = DateAdd("s", (milliseconds / 1000), "01-Jan-1970")
