Hi, appreciate for ur prompt reply. However, i've tried using this way before but it doesnt work. I've tried using the code below
PricePerDay = SvcDate & System.Environment.NewLine & PriceBrkDownStr
I'm doubt whether is it only work for new line in string and not in table grid?
Cheers,
Alicyn

Hey create a new thread and ask your questions there.
Are you answering to the question asked before.

Do NOT hyjack someone elses thread to ask your own totally unrelated question.
But toanswer your question, YES. If you can see the message box while running your code, the customer will see it also!

Hi,
I'm using MAPISession and MAPIMessage components to access MS Outlook emails but the MAPIMessages1.MsgCount always returns 0 even though I've got 100 read emails. I've got Outlook 2002.
The code I have is as follows:
...
MAPISession1.Username = "Outlook"
MAPIMessage1.DownloadMail = True
MAPISession1.SignOn
MAPIMessages1.SessionID = MAPISession1.SessionID
MAPIMessages1.Fetch
iNumOfMsgs = MAPIMEssages1.MsgCount 'iNumOfMsgs declared as a local var
...
iNumOfMsgs returns 0 when there are 100 read emails
Any help with this is very much appreciated

Sounds like you need to use regex to parse the page and look for tags that are images or links.

Hey all:
I want to write some greek symbols in labels. Like instead of "phi" I want to display its symbol. Can you please help me how can I do this.

Hi,
this is one way that works (I'm explaining in C# syntax, but that is not really relevant):
open MS Word, type the text you want, use the "Insert Symbol..." menu
to insert special characters (whose Unicode code you dont know by heart;
keep a normal font, but adapt the subset as needed), then copy
everything you want to the clipboard.
Now either paste to the Text property of your label in Visual Designer.
Or paste into the literal part of a statement such as myLabel.Text="...";
(if you do this with non-ASCII characters, Visual will suggest you save the source file
in Unicode format, instead of regular ASCII).
If you happen to know the Unicode codes, you can also insert Unicode escape characters
in string literals (so you can keep an ASCII source file);
in C# they take the form \u#### where # represents a hex digit.
I trust something similar exists in VB.NET too
These Unicode escape sequences however seem unavailable in Visual Designer.

Can you please tell me how to make a customised standalone database software...??? Also simple installation procedure for novice user of computer... Because if we use oracle or sql then it is not easier to deploy for novice user of computer.... So is there any other solution or database which is used for stand alone database application?

Access databases, otherwise know as Jet. They don't need to install anything to use them from your code. Security sucks though.

I have an object that I've created to interface with a file upload and parsing in a webapp. The object basically keeps a string of the filename inside itself and then parses the file into a list at the proper time.
The file is uploaded and then hashed and the hash is presented to the user before "signing". After they sign the file is parsed. If, however, they close the page or don't do anything with it, how can I guarantee the file is deleted from the disk? Would it be best to put a deletion routine in the destructor of the object?

Ask the user to confirm the transaction is done in another web page.

There are no destructors in the .NET CLR. There is a Dispose method you could implement, but it'll get called on every object that implements it, regardless if your transaction is complete or not.

You've got to be joking, right? This is not a suitable subject line to get someone to answer your questions.
goodonebond wrote: I need a help in code to make Gantt chart in asp.net vb.net
Find an ASP.NET graphing library that can do this. There isn't one built into the .NET Framework.
goodonebond wrote: audio/video conferencing and chat application ... whiteboard in asp.net
In ASP.NET?? Don't ask for much, do you...
You're not going to get the source code for such applications from anyone here. CP exists to help you write your own code, NOT just hand it over to anyone who asks.
All three of these apps will involve considerable coding to get to this to work, both on the client side and a central server to organize and relay data, none of which will be done in ASP.NET.

Start by writing out your problem, then breaking it down into smaller problems. Keep doing this until each problem is sufficiently small that you can see how to code it.
If you can't work out solutions to any of the smaller problems then come back and ask (politely) for assistance. But asking for Gantt chart/chat/video conferencing with a white board software is just way too much.

Read the forum guidelines. Some of the highlights:
1. Don't include URGENT or HELP in your message title.
2. Make your message title something meaningful like "looking for chat and Gantt code"
3. DON'T CROSSPOST.

If you want help urgently then you should pay for a support call. If you want it free you will have to wait until someone who can answer your question has the time to help you out.

To put it simply - That subject line was just plain rude.

Hello
I have created an application in VB.NET using VS2005. I wanted to do a custom installation for it (not use ClickOnce), so I looked on the internet which showed me that I need to Add a New Project, and seclect the "Setup and Deployment" on the left and choose the correct template.
However I do not have this. Whenever I choose New Project, all, I get is the following:
* Windows Application
* Class Library
* Console Application
* My Movie Collection
* Screen Saver Startewr Kit
* Search Online Templates (which does nothing!!)
I have installed everything that came on my CD, VB, C#, C++, Java, Web, SQL. Why can I not see the same New Project dialog box as everyone else!
It's hard tp exlain without showing screenshots - but I don't know how to do this on this messagebox. Sorry.
I have looked in the Settings and cannot find any settings to turn this on or off.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
