If your page is having referrer you can use Response.Redirect(Request.UrlReferrer.AbsolutePath).

Referrer contains the details of the referring page for the current page. Assume you have two pages A and B. And you are taking page B from page A. So referrer of page B is page A. You can check the methods available in Request.UrlReferrer. Before implementing redirect, you should make sure that you are getting Referrer.

Disabling browser SaveAs option ? Use only scripts in your page like what Gmail is using. This will save blank page when user uses saveas option.

Hi I have developed asp.net application so i need to deploy on the server so i can access it from other computers within the company but always gives me this error" An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.and when i publish it locally it still give errors
" after i published it try to run it from my internet explorer.

removing the empty column in a datagrid

HI ALL

In my asp application i have a data grid, can i hide the empty columns in run time. like i am accessing the values from same table for the 2 categories ie in case of software there is data in key skill column the other two fields process and typing speed are empty, same way for BPO category only typing speed data is there other two fields key skill and process is empty. so i just want the columns which is having data

Implement following logic:
dgrd.Columns(i).Visible = False
Note: i represents column index

Ur solution will work fine but this will make ur page quite bulky & also will increase the redundancy of ur logic.
From maintainance perspective ur solution might proved to be bit dicy.

Hey peeps,

I have a site running .net 2.0. The site is hosted on a server farm.
On the guestbook page i seem to get attacked by a bot trying to post some nasty urls. But the bot don't succed, it gets a "Validation of viewstate MAC failed" error. I catch all errors in the global file and log it. Therefor i can see this happens quite often, more than 20 times a day.
I have posted a trace file where the exception happens here.

The header of the guestbook files is as followed.

AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Guestbook.aspx.cs" Inherits="Guestbook" Title="Untitled Page" Culture="da-DK"%>

I have been forced to turn Validaterequest off, to allow users to html format their posts in the guestbook.

Does anybody have an idea to how i can prevent this error from happening.

Why don't you block such kind of bots with CAPTCHA ?

Already have blocked, with CAPTHA. But this error appears anyhow

It looks like it might be a cross page posting error - someone is trying to post to your page and it can't handle it.

Google a bit on cross page posting for advice.
