If I have an absolute path to a file, e.g.: C:\website.com\assets\images\lumpydog.jpg
How can I translate the address to it's absolute web form? e.g.: http://localhost/website.com/assets/images/lumpydog.jpg
Can asp.net somehow resolve this path for me?

Why not just write a page, which takes the email details, does a normal postback, and sends the email using the .NET email classes ?

Hi,
I'm using Drop down list. List of Quesitons stored in a database. I'm collecting the questions and load it to the drop down list in Page load event.
When I select the Drop down list, the selected question and answer will display in the text boxes name txtquestion, txtanswer.
But I got this error when I select the Drop Down list
"A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client"
The Questions and Answer having HTML tags. will it cause the Error? If so How can I Split the tags and load the Questions alone in the drop down list?
Thanks in Advance

Yes. You can turn it off with ValidateRequest="false" in your page definition.

You can just use the HTMLEncode method ( not sure from memory what object it's on ), to change the text to not be HTML.

I set the ValidateRequest as false. Include the System.Web.HttpUtility also. But Still having the same error

U'r question is already in dropdwonlist so you can get question on your question textbox and in the event of dropdwonlist_selectindexchanged you get your answer from database and assign it to answer textbox
event dropdwonlist_selectindexchanged
txtquest.text=dropdwonlist.selecteditem

I've set up an activex object (sample.cab), when i try to install this i get the error message:
Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher.
I know I can change the settings in my browser to continue with the download/installation, but I don't want to tell all users to do that. Instead I would like to find out how to sign the software so that the browsers know that it comes from a trusted source.
How do I do this?
Thanks in advance

if some one can tell how to block pages.
i have small website and have abought 10 pages but when i copy
and put it in browser they open i want block that want to redirect them to login page .
thank you

Each page should check whatever mechanism you use to store who is logged in ( probably the Session ), and if a user is not logged in, redirect to the login page. A base class for all pages is the easiest way to do this.

i use VS2005.. do you have simple codes, i mean easy to understand codes to answer the problem i said?
how can i bind a detailsView to a database? coz i bind a GridView programmatically.. could it be posible to a DetailsView? how can i do this?
Thanks!

If you are using VS 2005 then it's ASP.NET 2.0 and above. the link that I gave you in previous post has sample code attached. You can download and test it... it may not be what you exactly want. but you may get some ideas and you can customize it as you need.
