Hi first u create one column for that no,then if u enable identity as true then below that they put increment as 1 by default , if u need increment by 2 or any value u can put , u ref that increment value to that column (ie new column for that no) , then that no's stored in that column u can ref that column u can easly fetch that no

If I understand your problem you need a unique integer when saving your record. Why not just use an identity column in your table and return that through an output parameter in your save procedure?
Another approach I've seen often is using GUID. You can generate that at the time your object is created and it (is supposed to) be unique.

Hi
I am looking for a Condition clause in XML like "WHERE" in SQL.
If the XML file is like.....
<Details>
<Person>
<ID>100</ID>
<Name>Mr.X</Name>
</Person>
<Person>
<ID>101</ID>
<Name>Mr.Y</Name>
</Person>
.....
.....
</Root>
If I want the Name of a person with ID = 100
Fisrt of all how to Search for that ID in XML file, after that how can I get the Name for that ID.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. -Thomas A. Edison
Thank u

Once you load this XML into a dataset, DataTable Select should help you out. Even a DataView RowFilter can be used right?

The easiest way is to run the following code before outputing your current HTML:
<%
Call Response.Clear()
Session("REPORTCOUNT") = CLng(Session("REPORTCOUNT")) + 1
Call Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", _
"attachment; filename=Report_" & Session("REPORTCOUNT") & ".xls")
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
%> This basically tells your browser that it is opening an MS-Excel spreadsheet. MS-Excel is able to the HTML in spreadsheet format. You can even use simple CSS and the HTML table attributes (e.g. "bgcolor") to make things reeeeally pretty.
I use the REPORTCOUNT session variable to allow me to allocate unique filenames because Excel doesn't like having two spreadsheets open with the same name. The only niggle is that when you choose "File->Save As" from Excel menu, it initially assumes that you want to save an HTML-formatted file.
Other methods are to use ASP to write out in the XML Excel format introduced by Office 2003, or to use ADO to write to an Excel spreadsheet connection - then download the resulting file.

Andy

How upload 1gb file upload using asp.net client side
thanks

If you want to upload files that are going to be of a rather large size, you will have to make a change to your web config file. You will need to specify a maxRequestLength equal to the largest size file you plan to allow. The default is 4096 which is 4 MB.

Good Luck.

The problem with using the basic file upload control is that the server side will need to allocate memory equal to the size of the file getting uploaded. Where I work we used to use the basic file upload control and whenever someone would upload a 600MB file IIS for ALL people would stop responding and the server showed the worker process using 600+ MB of memory.
For that size of file I highly recommend using the free NeatUpload[^] component. Not only will it give you a progress bar it also won't consume much memory because it takes chunks postback stream and saves it to a temp file and responds with a progress message. Also, during the upload the client can cancel the upload. I have successfully uploaded 1.7+ GB without any problems and the server memory usage went up by about 10MB which is very acceptable.

Use FileUpload control. File type doesn't matter

You have your page or project with you. isn't it? So, go and take a look... and decide which textbox you want the cursor to move when you press the "Enter" key.
OR Do you wanna detect automatically to the next control after current one?? It's hard to say since it is based on the design.

Write a javascript function and call it in OnKeyDown event of the textbox. Inside this function check the length of the text, if it is your desired length change focus to next textbox.
