Hi, I'm experiencing problems whit the formating options in the message editor, i.e. selecting a text and clic in the "B" for bold text gives MessageBox:
Are you sure you want to leave the page.
You will lose any unsaved text. Is it Ok?.
If clic Ok it sends the message as it is.
The same hampens with all of them.
I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.11 in Win XP sp2

The Coding Horrors and Subtle Bugs forums are not listed in the Message Boards list in the green title bar. This is probably related - when you are viewing either of these two forums, the three column list of all forums (the one where forums are in bold or normal type depending on whether there are new messages) does not appear between the forum name and the message area.

When replying to a message, the orignal message text in rendered in a blue box when you can highlight parts of the message and click "Quote Selected Text". The original message text can exceed the bounds of the blue box it's in. The last line may get clipped by the bottom of the box.
An example of this can be found here[^]. Try replying to this message.
Tested on IE6.0, medium text size. The window size does not make any difference in the rendering of the original message.

The Urls in last weeks email notifications do not work. I have like 10 threads from friday that I can't link back to and I can't manually find the threads because a page takes 5 minutes to load so I just left all those people hanging... that's just nasty bob.
CPHog is not working and I already installed the latest version

The Lounge appears to be inaccessible again as of ~15:00 GMT. I think some of the hamsters must have gone on strike. I can only recommend mediation and sunflower seeds and hope you can get them back to work soon.
[The sunflower seeds must have started to do the trick, the wheels are turning again as of ~15:40 GMT. Good luck with rounding up the rest.]
Nothing is exactly what it seems but everything with seems can be unpicked.

It is now 14:56 tuesday 04 december 2007 GMT
(15:56 local time in Antwerp, Belgium).
Some entries already show a 05 december 2007 date (e.g. my latest entries)
The hamsters, while running somewhat slow, took a head start somehow.
[modified: added this at 15:33 GMT in order to see CP modification time.
It says "December 04, 2007 10:32:39 AM" which could be OK]

- before you ask a question here, search CodeProject, then Google
- the quality and detail of your question reflects on the effectiveness of the help you are likely to get
- use PRE tags to preserve formatting when showing multi-line code snippets

Never noticed, but the warning not to post programming questions in the Lounge is in fact misleading. If one doesn't pay attention, one might actually think that the message is telling one to in fact post programming questions in the lounge. The problem is that "Post it here!" is a link, but looks like it's just a sentence displayed in a different color.
I would suggest displaying the following:
Got a Programming Question? Do not post it here!
Please post programming questions in the appropriate forums located at: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/List.aspx[^]
Maybe, just maybe this will help avoid programming questions posted in the Lounge. Nah! No way.

Currently the page title for the homepage reads as
CodeProject: Homepage. Free source code and programming articles
Shouldn't CodeProject read as The CodeProject ?

Something seems to be wrong. Usually the pages are blazingly fast. Today every page takes at least a minute to load that I can take so much coffee between every link click.
The slow response seems to be looming in a significant Caffeine (Coffee) addiction.
Any one else experiencing a slow response of pages?

These are some issues I found,
1 - All the links(Bold,Italic,Underline etc) are refreshing the page instead of inserting relevant tags to the editor.
2 - After pressing those icons, page reloads with a "attention" message. After that all the links(bold, italic etc) provided down disappeared.
I am using Firefox 2.0.0.11. Rest all it's a great release. Good job CP team.

This new CP loads every time you click on a new message. The old one seemed to pre-load all the text which resulted in a more snappy UI.

Been thinking about that too. Though it is very fast (used IE6), immediately shows the message in a click (without the loading). Don't know though if its a part of the release (I mean purposely). Just might need some getting used to.

wondering why cp admins allows people to do that... It's just simple way to prevent not to happen but i think cp masters love to happen again and again.. so, it's not the fault of the one who post the HTML code in his thread. but....
Sorry, chris. I'm not complaining.. just wondering..

I know your busy with the upgrade and all. But I just thought it would be nice to include in the user settings a skin selection (or color maybe) where the user can choose the skin of his/her choice. Starting with the original skin that we can name as "classic". What do you think?
