Are you trying to create XML file for the values in grid ? If you are binding Grid with a DataSet , you can use DataSet.WriteXML()

Greetings everyone,
I'm developing a form in which I need to display the picture. the database only stores the path to that image on the server. Previously I have workd in desktop apps where I used to store the actual images in the db but this time its the otherway around. Can u tell me how to get the image displayed in the form.
Thanks
Rocky
Success is a ladder which you can't climb with your hands in your pockets.

As you said, you have stored the image path in database. then, Have you uploaded that image to the Server? If yes, you can display the image by setting the path in IMG.

Hi Friends
I am getting this error when i try to read excel file using the
oledb object.And if i change the setting impersonate=false in web.config file , the chart software will stop working.
I also went through the below microsoft article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;825738
but still the problem persists.
Well as per the aritcle I tried with my_computer_name, IIS, IUSR in the security tab but of no use.
Any help guys......

Why do you want to set impersonate=false in web.config? If you set it to false then you may not have the permission to read the excel file..
If you want to give the permission, add all accounts (esp: ASPNET and IUSR_Machine name) to the security tab of the folder where the excel file is localed. and give them the full permission..

Thnks for ur answer Michael
Well if one use OLEdb object, it creates some file
in temp folder "c\Documents and Settings\name of server\ASPNET\Local Settings\temp". I have given full permission (ASPNET and IUSR_Machine name) to this folder still the error persists.
Any idea.

So, In login form, you can save it like that
Session["loginName"] = txtUserName.Text;
in other page, you can get like that ~
Label1.Text = Session["loginName"];
