but here is another situation
actually here xyz is the account name
and whole path will be same
for example if one person creates an account and his account name is xyz
and another person creates another account and his account name is abc
then
for first case url will be http://www.path.com/xyz and it will same for his application instance
and for second case url will be http://www.path.com/abc and it will be same for his application instance
No page should be displayed

i have a login page and inthat page i create a cookie name "admin" my problem is that when the admin login then in every page of admin section this cookie check if exist or not if not exist return the admin to login page

Hi,
Can we use two validation controls for the same field?
i.e)For a textbox containing username the field should not be empty and
also the field should accept atleast 6 characters.I tried by using required
field validator and range validator.Both of them are working but it is
not directing to the next page.Only with required field validator
it works smoothly.Plz reply me.

hi dear, u can use any number of validator in asp.net.. for ur problem u must have to use requirefield validator and regularexpression validator.

range validator would not be used in the condition of strings.

also alternative to regular expression u can use custom validator and call javascript function to validate the lenght for ur input box..

Do I need to create an instance of .ascx page into .aspx page and then call it from .aspx page.I did what you said,but not working.I will copy the code below:

I read ur reply.I have lots os controls into (Menu.ascx)eg - hyperlink,label etc.

Actually I have created one Menu(Menu.ascx) as a user control,in which I have one label control.At my web page(Products.aspx),i am receiving a value from a textbox,which I want to pass on to a user-control's label value.So that when ever value is changing in textbox,label value should also get incremented accordingly.

I hope now the scenario will be more clearer.

you must drag and drop yr cnotrol to aspx page ?

here in code behind you can get that control's ID,

so, control.Property = "set property"

Hi,

I am fillilng a dropdown list which is inside a updatepanel through a button click event. But after clicking the button again to fill the dropdown only the updateprogress moving icon gets displayed. i think the page hangs.
