When working with ASP.NET, always look at the HTML source when something doesn't work. Even better, install Firefox and firebug, and debug your javascript in realtime.
If these are server controls ( and if they are not, this belongs in the web dev forum ), if you look at your source, your service control called lstShowHistory is almost certainly not called that on the client. So, you need to inject javascript that creates variables that contain the client side Id's of these controls, then this sort of code will work.

1 - try using meaningful headers, all the questions here are about ASP.NET
2 - try asking clear questions. If you don't know how to use DateTime.Now, then you should be buying a book and reading it. If you wanted to show the time on your website ( local or server ), then that's not what you asked.

When you're paying for help, you can say stuff like this.
It's hard to follow quite what you mean, you're saying that if you select item four and it posts back, item three is shown ? Have you set breakpoints to step through the code and see what's going on ? I doubt we can help you without seeing some code and some comments on what you see in the debugger.

Dear Graus,
I am just binding values to the dropdownlist from the database using the following code.Here ldset is the dataset
ldset = gobjClass.CW_GETBETOPT()
Dim lBetViewFilter As New DataView
lDataRow = lDataViewFilter.Item(0).Row
lBetViewFilter = FindValueInBetViewReturn(ldset, "GAMEID='" &lDataRow("GameID") &"'")
Me.DropDownList1.DataSource = lBetViewFilter
Me.DropDownList1.DataTextField = "bettypedesc"
Me.DropDownList1.DataValueField = "BetTypeId"
Me.DropDownList1.DataBind()
Me.DropDownList1.SelectedIndex = 0
The problem is exactly what u said that is if i select item four and it posts back, item three is shown ..Kindly help in this regard..
Thanks in Advance..

use the HTTPCokkies class to add a new cokkie
<br />
<br />
HttpCookie abc=new HttpCookie(<name>,<value>)<br />
<br />
this will add a new cokkie<br />
<br />
Now to display the value of cokkies use <br />
<br />
Request.Cookies[<name>].toString()<br />
<br />
</name></value></name>
Hope this will helo you

I have a case where I have a db with the active directory user names and the CN entry from thier certificates. I have searched all over but cannot find anyway to do this. I need to extract the certificate information and the code to add it into IIS progromatically on a 1-to-1 basis or the code to add an entry to create a CN mapping to thr user name using a many-to-one basis. This works manually but I have to many accounts to do this manually. If antone has any suggestions and code samples I would be thankful. Please e-mail me at bmores@eciii.com with any suggestions.
