You are doing totally wrong.
Sonia Gupta wrote: in js file (filename = wr.js)

JS file is for keeping javascript, not for CSS. Put this in a CSS. To make input as a class prefix dot(.) before the name. Go through the CSS Beginner[^] tutorial.
Sonia Gupta wrote: CssClass="wr.js"
No need to specify extension when referring a class name.

a simple way ( as both are access dbs) is to export the data from one tabke to a csv file) and import it in the other end.

Hi,
I'm involved in the development of a web application for a huge organization. The web applications are developed with VS.NET 2003 with oracle DB and IIS for the webserver. We have the problem that the database has huge ammount of data and the application has to be an online one so we can't work in offline mode. The application may load some data in the application server memory for sometime but once the user finished what he wants, I should remove these data from the memory, but the ADO.NET cashes the data and I don't know how to free it. I tried to dispose all the objects but no effect. NOTE: The data is huge that we have a table that may contains about 700000 records and increasing by the time. This problem causes the application server to fall down by the time and I have to restart the IIS to free the memory.
If the declartion of the problem is not clear please contact me

Thanks.

1) If you are caching the data see that you put the timeout as well.
2) If you running IIS 6. Schedule the appliaction pool restart periodically.
3) If you have lot of data cosider using s staging DB or table to store the most frequently accessed data.
Thanks

Hi,
I'm running IIS 6, but is this problem can be solved with IIS 7 in another manner rather than restarting the IIS, because restarting the IIS will cause the user not to be able to browse the application site during the restarting process and this may cause problem due to the business enviorment in which the application is running.

Hi,
I was wondering if we could change the color of the RegularExpressionValidator (or any validator) via CSS. It seems that even if we apply a color in the css, it's always the one defined in the properties (in the designer) that is taken into account. I have checked the source of the page and there is always a "style" attribute that is placed just after the "class" attribute, which leads to the "style" overriding the "class" and thus applying the color that is given in the designer. I couldn't find a way to make it stop generating the "style" attribute. It's always there!!
I have tried google to search for a similar case. There are people complaining about the same problem but it seems the only solutions is to create a NEW custom validator
If removing it is not an option, is there a way to make both attributes switch places in the code? that way the "class" would override the "style".
Thanks a lot
Talal

By looking at the above quote does this mean you are not actiually writing the code for it but creating it in the designer?
If so just delete the style from the code and apply the class
might work

Well the HTML code looks like this:
<asp:RegularExpressionValidator ID="emailValidator" runat="server" ControlToValidate="txtAddEmail"<br />
Display="Static" ValidationExpression="\w+([-+.']\w+)*@\w+([-.]\w+)*\.\w+([-.]\w+)*" CssClass="SmallWarning"></asp:RegularExpressionValidator>
In this code, there is even no reference to the ForeColor of the control, but this code generates the below HTML code when the server sends back the page:
<span id="ctl00_def_vldAddAlternateEmail" class="SmallWarning" style="color:Red;visibility:hidden;">Please enter a valid email address.</span>
You can see that the "style" attribute is there and it is always AFTER the "class" attribute :S And I didn't find a way to set the ForeColor to nothing, the default is red and this is what is used when I don't specify it in the HTML code.

Strange. It just worked fine for me. Which is your ASP.NET version ?

I am using .NET 2.0 and VS 2005. It is driving me nuts! The weird things is that the CSS is applied because the font size changes as I have set it in the CSS but the font doesn't change. If you can check the reply I just posted above, you can see how the HTML code is written and how it is generated back by the server.

Here you go
<asp:RequiredFieldValidator ForeColor=""
CssClass="SmallWarning"
ID="RequiredFieldValidator1"
runat="server"
ErrorMessage="RequiredFieldValidator"
ControlToValidate="TextBox1"
/> This will show color given in the style sheet.
