PHP is a server side language so no that is not possible. The way it is normally done is to use the code that you have above or a meta refresh tag. Check out meta refresh at wikipedia Meta_refresh[^]

1- Install the PECL library.
2- use the function "http_redirect".
|
|
|
|
|
Thank you.
I used this function. I think this is better.
function redirect($url, $time)
{
$table = "
<html>
<head>
<META http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"$time;URL=$url\">
</head>
<body bgcolor=\"#847d6d\">
<div style=\"background-color:#ECE9D8; width:250px; margin:0px auto; text-align:center;\">
Please Wait .... <img align=\"absmiddle\" src=\"../template/default/Image/ProgressBar.gif\">
</div>
</body>
</html>";
print($table);
exit;
}

Hi, last night I just install Red Hat Linux 9.0 on my desktop. Everything is running smoothly until the login screen. After I login I have made change to the screen resolution (resize the screen bigger) and I also change the color from 16 bit to million color. After that I restart the system, everything work fine during the boot progress. But when the login screen appear, the monitor start to disappear (the blank screen appear and the monitor led become from green to yellow).
I think that this problem occure because I change the resolution of the screen of the computer. Now i want it to return back to normal. In windows, there is an option Last Known Good Configuration to restore something that we making wrong to the system. But in Linux RH 9 I don't know where could I do that. Could someone let me know how to solve this problem? Thank in advance!!!

Oh - and which particular forum would that be? This forum is fairly new, and judging by the popularity of the other CP forums, I expect it to grow into a valuable resource as well.

RH 9 is just too old to be useful on the modern hardware. Try a new distribution, like CentOS[^] (a free version of modern RedHat distributions)

Good suggestion about CentOS. Had good experiences with it in the past.

Yep, but I still run it on an old Pentium MMX for some small projects

I intend to deploy an application in the Internet.
my application throws rela time performance data into a database.
I also will deploy a website and hence a webserver next to the application.
my problem is with the vizualization of the performance data in the database.
I don't want to write the visualization code at the server side, using php and forcing the server to generate graphs, then send them..
No..
I want to be able to collect those data remotely by exposing them through a WebService.
After that I will write a client application that renders the graphs from the received data.
Is it possible to write a WebService in PHP ??
I just need to parse a request then make a query on the database and finally return an array of data ! (integers).
Note that I don't want and I can't be able to add a heavy extension to Apache and PHP like Tomcat to be able to expose the WebService.
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 6.06.2 with mingw32 installed as a cross compiler. I installed it with "apt-get install mingw32 mingw32-binutils mingw32-runtime".
I wrote the following simple program to test whether compilation works:
<br />
int main(int argc, char* argv[])<br />
{<br />
return 0;<br />
}<br />
When I try compiling it, however, I get the following:
tgs@tgs-desktop~/test$ i586-mingw32msvc-gcc simpletest.c -o simpletest.exe
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:2: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.def'
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:2: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.scl'
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:2: Error: unrecognized symbol type ""
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:2: Error: junk at end of line, first unrecognized character is `3'
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:2: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.endef'
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:5: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.def'
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:5: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.scl'
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:5: Error: unrecognized symbol type ""
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:5: Error: junk at end of line, first unrecognized character is `3'
/tmp/cc5xd3WR.s:5: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.endef'
I feel like i586-mingw32msvc-gcc is trying to pass its output to the wrong assembler. There shouldn't be a reason for this though, I have all of the required programs in my path:
tgs@tgs-desktop~/test$ ls /usr/bin/ | grep i586
i586-mingw32msvc-addr2line
i586-mingw32msvc-ar
i586-mingw32msvc-as
i586-mingw32msvc-c++
i586-mingw32msvc-cc
i586-mingw32msvc-c++filt
i586-mingw32msvc-cpp
i586-mingw32msvc-dlltool
i586-mingw32msvc-dllwrap
i586-mingw32msvc-g++
i586-mingw32msvc-gcc
i586-mingw32msvc-gcc-3.4.4
i586-mingw32msvc-gccbug
i586-mingw32msvc-gcov
i586-mingw32msvc-ld
i586-mingw32msvc-nm
i586-mingw32msvc-objcopy
i586-mingw32msvc-objdump
i586-mingw32msvc-ranlib
i586-mingw32msvc-readelf
i586-mingw32msvc-size
i586-mingw32msvc-strings
i586-mingw32msvc-strip
i586-mingw32msvc-windres
I found some advice that told me to set the 'AS' environment variable to i586-mingw32msvc-as, but that didn't work either.
Thoughts?

Personally mine is Arch Linux.
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. I run Debian Etch for web development...I did use Ubuntu when it first came out but decided that nothing beats Windows for actually doing development on.
I'm finding the only constant in software development is change it self.
