You can use SetWindowText()[^] to do that.

You can change "Caption" from dialog properties.

you mean you want to change the caption text on the main window title bar ?
or you want to change it in the executable file properties ?
for the caption text, use CWnd::SetWindowText().
for the latter, go to the version section in the resources editor, then edit whatever you want (the app name, its version, etc.)

come on, that's not serious. my post was the only one to propose 2 different solutions, and I get the lower rating !!?

if you don't agree with what's been said, just explain your point of view, rather than hidding your butts behind your computer... f*cking looser

Hey toxcct you need to a PRESERVER on this forum!

I'm being cool enough, but the voters who hide are getting on my nerves, especially when I know my answer will help the OP.

Some days ago I said about votes and wrote on the Suggestions and Bug Reports, but some people didnt agree with me.
BTW your votes arent down now.

For this vote dont worry I give you 5 but I dont know why 1 without any reason?
|
|
|
|
|
that's what I'm asking... moreover, the OP question was not even clear enough.
I think I'll have to talk to Chris to track the univoter in this forum...

sorry ? I didn't understand that sentence.
sudhir_Kumar wrote: Why to worry about the rating
because on the forums, voting a post to be an "Unhelpful answer" will cause the OP to wonder if the replies he got are actually really good or not.
If a reply is good, then vote it good if it helped, or if you know strongly it will. If you have some doubts, just don't vote.

I mean you answer is correct even though the question is not clear.

so that's even more weird to get '1' votes when you give correct answers !

"the name of the application"
That's unclear because it's ambiguous.

In InitInstance you can write m_pszAppName = "New Name",it will work for you.

You can change the dialog caption. Do Rightclick->Properties->General->Caption.
and if you want to chnage the dialog caption dynamically you can call SetWindowText() fucntion with window caption as parameter.
