Hi haneef,
you can put your login control and your search controls in two Panels.
A Panel has a property "DefaultButton". Point this to the button which should get "clicked" when the user pressed enter.

Clear the list before you fill it each time
i.e. datalist.clear(); something like that

I need to allow multiple Selection so I can't clear the the list before fill it each time, otherwise I can use just DataSource and bind the data to it. I need other Solution

Run a query to check if the values already exist in the other list, if so dont add, if not add.
Try something like that

Hi,
I am accessing value of Dropdown (.Net Control) by using
var Pay = document.getElementById("ddl_pay").getAttribute('Value');
Then Depending upon the condition if the value is Credit Card then I am redirecting to the payment Gateway else redirecting to .aspx page.
It working Fine in IE but getting problems in FIREFOX.
When I displaying value of selected Item using Alert in FireFox then it showing me null value. Even if condition is Credit Card it is redirected to the .aspx page.
Whether the above code is wrong. Is there any other solution?
So What Can I do ?
Thanks

What are the problem? What is the error that shows up in the 'Script Console'?

If you really require an IP address of the system that is behind a proxy, you may need an ActiveX Control which runs on the system and can detect and send you that.
Also check out if your headers contain X_FORWARDED_FOR .

You may need to use an ActiveX Control to achieve this.

You won't be able to do this using ASP.NET. It's a server side scripting language which emits HTML upon the request.

Hi All,
I am going to develop a web service interface, between two different web services. I want to resrtict so that only the data that is coming from Service Flow only can pass through my web service and reach the other webservices by using simple md5 mechanism.
Can anybody please suggest me how to use the md5 mechanism in ASP.Net 2.0 with C#. Please provide me easy way to use and good links for it.
Thanks a lot in advance.

MD5 is a hashing algorithm from which you cannot take the original text. If you want to get the original text, you need to consider using any of the encryption algorithms like RSA. If you are looking for hash, forget MD5 - it is considered as weak. Try SHA1 , SHA256 or SHA512.

Thanks for the good advice Navaneeth. But the other Web Services to which I am connecting are using the md5 technology. So I guess it is better to use the md5 technology only. Please help me in that view.
Or give me any link in which I can get how to use md5 in .Net from the beginning to till deployment.
Thanks a lot.

I'm looking for a way to achieve this:
1. On dev machine running against local Cassini server display detailed ASP.NET error information.
2. On local web server (IIS) display custom (friendly) error information.
3. For remote client display custom (friendly) error information.
I can see that setting customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" satisfies 1 and 3. But I can't see a way to satisy all three. The only thing I can think of is to keep customErrors permanently set at "On" for the deployed app. and then manually switch to "RemoteOnly" or "Off" when developing. The problem with the latter is that I have to remember to edit web.config when checking back in to source control.
It occurs to me however, that I may be able to solve my problem if there is a way of programmatically distinguishing between running against Cassini in the dev environment and running against IIS.
BTW, you might be wondering why I want both 2. and 3. It so happens that for this particular app. the end users need to access the web client both locally and remotely (via controlled intranet).

When the application is localhost or 127.0.0.1 or NetBios Name, it should show the error message in full right?

What I want is this:
If running as localhost/myapp or from a remote machine, then display custom error page with message, e.g., "an error has occurred please contact support"
If running as localhost:nnnn/myapp then display full asp.net exception message with stack trace.
It looks like I may be able to proceed as follows:
Set customErrors mode="On"
Get value of Request.ServerVariables["SERVER_SOFTWARE"].
If this is empty then I'm running Cassini, i.e.,localhost:nnnn/myapp, so programmatically set customErrors mode="Off" in Application_Start.
