I just checked my calendar, and this is not urgent at all, to me....
I don't see any reason for this control to not exist, have you set some breakpoints to look at what the rest of the code does ? There must be a reason that is based on your other code. When does it become null ? What event is this code running in ?

OK - if your controls are sitting at the root level and the code is in the code behind, I see no reason for it to be null during page load.

I've created a Visual Studio installer for a published web site (coded in c#). Following installation I need to edit some configuration files (including the web.config). When I then try to browse on the Directory in IIS I sometimes get a System.IOFileNotFound exception. If I then go back to the web.config file and edit it somehow (even simply removing a comment or say retyping something without changing content) then save it - the problem disappears?? I've tried modifying the installer to reset IIS as part of the installation process. On some machines the original error occurs whenever I attempt to install, on others it does it occasionally and on others not at all. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi
td{
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
font-family: Tahoma;
font-size: 10.5px;
}
create a .css file and add it 2 u r project.
Next add a class like the one above in u r css file and then use the name of the class in this case td in the class attribute of u r element.

Hi all,
I am working on a website in which I have all the user controls placed in a folder called UserControls.
Unfortunately these controls cannot reference the master page while other controls that are not in this folder can.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks a lot,
Chris Farrugia

do your usercontrols derive from System.Web.UI.Page?
Do you send your Page object to the usercontrol? You should be able to retrieve the masterpage in that case.

Did you tried drag-dropping the UserControl into your MasterPage?
Is the UserControl is created as new inside the Project itself or added from some other projects?

place the controls in the content panel,which in the master page.

Try ClientScripting for MS Ajax.
For example,
Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_beginRequest(BeginRequest_Handler);
Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance().add_endRequest(EndRequest_Handler);
function BeginRequest_Handler(){
document.body.disabled=true;
}
function EndRequest_Handler(){
document.body.disabled=false;
}
The above code should be place below the <scriptmanager> tag because "Sys" class is a part of ScriptManager.
