Can you maybe show what you tried? Converting it to plain text didn't work? Why not go pdf->plaintext->doc
shouldn't be that hard

I am getting the plain text out of a pdf
but not the images and also the formatting of
the characters are not gettable....
Thanks

Unless you give more details about what you intend to use this information for, I hope that you will get no replies.

Why do you hope that? It's a fair question most probably posted by someone who works within Financial Services IT who needs to do this for their job.

The bank or security agency you work for will have this information. You don't need it for any other reason.

Isn't that a protocol and not a format?

I am new to Microsoft Report Viewer and trying to a use for the first time. I have just created a blank report in Visual Studio and added a textbox with the valie:
=Fields!vehicle_chassis_number.Value
In Visual Studio, hee is my Code:
data_set = new DataSet();
reportViewer1.ProcessingMode = ProcessingMode.Local;
LocalReport rep = reportViewer1.LocalReport;
rep.ReportPath = @"C:\Users\Jassim\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Taajeer\Taajeer\Report1.rdlc";
sql_connection = new SqlConnection("Data Source=.\\SQLEXPRESS;initial catalog=rent_a_car_company;integrated security=true");
sql_connection.Open();
sql_command = new SqlCommand("sp_get_agreement_by_id", sql_connection);
sql_command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
sql_command.Parameters.Add("@vehicle_id", SqlDbType.Int).Value = 1;
sql_adapter = new SqlDataAdapter(sql_command);
sql_adapter.Fill(data_set);
sql_adapter.Dispose();
// sql_connection.Close();
ReportDataSource dsReport = new ReportDataSource();
dsReport.Name = "Invoice_sprocInvoiceView";
dsReport.Value = data_set.Tables["Invoice"];
rep.DataSources.Add(dsReport);
reportViewer1.LocalReport.DataSources.Clear();
reportViewer1.LocalReport.DataSources.Add(dsReport);
reportViewer1.RefreshReport();
rep.Refresh();
this.reportViewer1.RefreshReport();
but I am getting this error message:
Error 1 The Value expression for the textbox ‘textbox3’ refers to the field ‘vehicle_chassis_number’. Report item expressions can only refer to fields within the current data set scope or, if inside an aggregate, the specified data set scope. How can I prevent the user from closing a Windows Form if a certain TextBox.Text is empty please?
|
|
|
|
|
Hi,
hook into the Form.FormClosing-event and check if the Textbox is empty. If it is, you can display a message box and set the event value e.Cancel = true. This will prevent the form from closing.

Sebastian

hi
This code is helpful for u
write this code in constructor or form load
this.FormClosing += new FormClosingEventHandler(Form1_FormClosing);
then write this method
void Form1_FormClosing(object sender, FormClosingEventArgs e)
{
// Here write whatever condition u want to check
// the condition will true means write this code
e.cancel =true;
}

Take a look at the various resources, MSDN, Google etc, for 'Validation' this will give you lots of ways to achieve your aims.

do not forget to set e.Cancel = false in the starting of event. If you dont then you will unable to exit the program once you set e.Cancel = true

Hi,
what does the error say? Maybe it is a type conversion problem. Can you give us the types of strToken and a?

Is your variable tokenIndex from type int?
Could you post the whole code snippet, please?

That code does not even contain the line you were originally asking about, and it makes no sense whatsoever.
