How to connect to multiple databases (like SQL server, mysql, oracle) through Java code.

Nirmala G wrote: SQL server
JDBC will do it.
Nirmala G wrote: mysql
Look at JDBC Driver for MySQL
Nirmala G wrote: oracle
Again JDBC can be used here.
What do you mean by connecting multiple databases? Do you mean a method where you can change the underlying database with minimum code change? If yes, abstract the database calls behind well defined interfaces. So you can change the code without affecting interface users.

If you choose to use jdbc you'll have to download drivers for each specific database. I just wrote a post on how to dynamically load the database driver jar you need and connect to jdbc through it here[^].

I have about 250 tokens in my JavaCC grammar file. The JavaCC compiles fine, but the Java code compiles with the following errors. Any suggestions beside reducing my token count?
MyParser_USA1TokenManager.java:9903: code too large for try statement
catch(java.io.IOException e) { return curPos; }
^
MyParser_USA1TokenManager.java:1309: code too large
private int jjMoveNfa_0(int startState, int curPos)

Hi, any suggestions are most welcomed, but I would rather not edit the JavaCC generated Java code. I am looking for a solution such as JavaCC options or perhaps this is a limitiation with the JavaCC that I have to work around such as breaking my JJ files into many?
Best Regards,
Allan

Hi,
In servelet, how can i read an xml file

Look inside javax.xml.parsers . You need to use DocumentBuilder and the factory class which creates DocumentBuilder . There will be enough examples if you search for it.

Seriously? It's the second listing on a search for "java get pixel from image".

Next time, try using a search engine.

phone numbers are always text - just because there could be other chars in it like / or - .
So don't try to convert them.

Hello,
This is Reuben. I have to develop a "packet filter" for my final year
B.E. project. If anyone can give me the source code to block an ip packet, it would be of much use.
