I'm trying to make an Div float over a Flash (google map).
Normal way, that appears good in FF but doesn't help in IE and Google Chrome.
So, how to change the wmode="opaque" by wmode="transparent" in flash (google map) code when it's loaded at my page?
Or who have other way please help me.
Thanks so much.

Ramp Up[^] is a free online learning program for developers from Microsoft. Three tracks were released today.
These tracks, along with the other currently offered ones (eg, Windows Mobile 6, SharePoint for Developers, Visual Studio 2008), teaches the important skills in a guided path, making the learning process easier and more efficient. The easy-to-access content (provided by subject-matter gurus) is specifically tailored for the Ramp Up program, and offered in a variety of forms (article, v-lab, codecast and slidecast).

I would like to display all my content in a div that is 800px wide, centred in the page. That way, all browser window sizes are catered for. How do I go about doing that?

Hi there,
I am wondering if you know of any SDKs that developers can use to build an "out of box" video conferencing system. I have got a requirement that we must support video conferencing capability in our solution. I'm looking for a SDK to minimize our own development effort.
Best,
Jun

i don't know about an sdk - but adobe flash should have everything you need. You could also look at "flash media server".

How could I go about mapping a domain alias, e.g. "domainAlias.co.za", to a virtual folder under, e.g. "mainDomain.co.za", so that all requests to "domainAlias.co.za" actually get served by "mainDomain.co.za/domainAlias" ?

How do I get a combo to clear its 'value' when the display text is blank or doesn't match a list value, i.e. custom text not in the data store? I'm sure there must be something I'm missing, because such a simple feature lacking can't make an otherwise impressive combo useless.

If i have a string that contains a comma how do i write that to a csv file without it thinking they are two different words?

Well first of all, you are in the wrong forum, next time try the C# or asp.net forums
As for your question, look here[^]

|
|
|

Wrong forum.
And ask in C# forum.
Okay, you should be parsing the string.
Like this: MSDN
Or, if you want a few more links, try: Oh look, first link is about ASP.NET and C#
If everything was not true, would it be not true that everything is not true?

I need to implement a web page that has a Google map on the left side consuming about 90% of the available width of the browser window and a sidebar on the right side consuming the remaining width. This is pretty standard stuff but I want the google map to resize itself based on the width of the window - i.e. when a user resizes their browser window or when a user has a computer with a small screen the page will adapt to the available screen / window size. I've sorted out how to make a 2 column table with a style sheet that does exactly what I describe but when I put a new GMap2 document into the left side window it all goes to pieces, the map window is a very narrow slit at the top of the page. If you look at the code you may notice that there isn't any code to fill the sidebar yet.
Code that sets up the styles and divs is below. I'm not an HTML expert by any means so please be gentle...
<code><html style="height:100%">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>
<title>Yacht Tracker</title>
<script src="http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&sensor=false&key=my google map key" type="text/javascript"></script>
<style type="text/css">
#parent_div {
width:100%;
padding:6px 0;
border:1px solid #000;
margin:auto;
}
#parent_div:after {
content:'';
display:block;
clear:both;
}
#map {
float:left;
display:inline; /*required by IE6*/
width:1024px;
border:1px solid #999;
margin 3px 0 6px;
}
#sidebar {
float:left;
display:inline; /*required by IE6*/
width:100px;
border:1px solid #999;
margin 6px 0 3px;
}
#map p,#sidebar p {
font-family:sans-serif;
font-size .8em;
text-align:justify;
margin:4px;
}
</style>
<div id="parent" style="height: 100%">
<div id="map" style="height 97%">

aartib wrote: In my jsp page
me no talk jsp
but, what you need is when an items is selected from the first drop down post the page back, then find out the selected item, run your query to get the value of state from database and fill second drop down.
another way is, spit out country/state info into js and you can handle everything on the client side.
even better is look at AJAX.

How do I use both paging and auto-complete on an extJS ComboBox with a JSonStore? Auto-complete works fine while the store is local and paging works fine when remote, but as soon as I go remote, I lose the auto-complete, even if the items to be shown are already in the current page.

hello
How'd you choose your vendor for SSL cert? This is for web server/IIS with shopping cart integrated with PayPal Standard (i.e. payment actually done in PayPal site but you'd still need to guard against DNS spoofing and tell customer you are who you are)
I browsed around here are some options, all EV certs (green bar on your browser):
Versign
US$995/year
http://www.verisign.com/ssl/buy-ssl-certificates/secure-site-services/index.html
Digicert
US$488/year
http://www.digicert.com/ev-ssl-certification.htm
InstallSSL
US$359/year
http://www.instantssl.com/ssl-certificate-products/ssl/ssl-certificate-ev.html?entryURL=
What's your take on this? Doesn't have to be these three...
Thanks
