While not outright belligerent, his posts are nonetheless unhelpful, useless, and without purpose (unless of course the purpose is just to be annoying).

You forgot to mention how rude this idiot is.

The option to mark his vote for removal is there to be used. The community should be doing the policing in this case, if required, not me.

And is being used, at least by me.

The removal threshold of 13 votes is too high to get rid of any except a few of the most extremely offensive posts. With very rare exceptions Vote To Remove and Vote 1 function identically because the threshold for hte former is never reached.

I came here to report about that same idiot and I saw David's post. Just take a look at his posts. We can't be ALWAYS arsed to keep marking his posts for removal. Yes, I have used that option and his post is still around and I'm sure that he'll be back to make more such inane posts.
Unless you see any substantial value in keeping him around, you should be removing him. He's a nuisance, and he bothers the people who help there. There's nothing more from him.

The problem with this guy is that newbies probably think that he's some genius who has the answer to everything (5 lines of code, COM, SDK, etc). Yet, all he does is discrediting and insulting people who have been helping here for a long time.
He's even worse than the idiots posting mindless drivel in the Lounge.

I agree. This is different from the occasional inappropriate message. This guy is systematically posting bogus answers to many questions, which discredits the forum and the site.
This can't be a mistake; he's getting off by pissing on the site and the many good people here.
It seems like there should be one or two volunteer moderators per forum, who have the juice to ban a member from a forum.

I've suggested that a few times before as well, for similar reasons. I wonder if such a thing will happen at all.

It reflects the user's adamant and arrogant attitude. A kind of crazy temerity or a misguided unappropriate misdirected misdemeanour to demonstrate in public.

CP Team,
The one page survey shows the following message after completion and submission of the same:
You do not have permission to view these survey results.
Since it is a normal course of submission, it is the obligation on part of the survey script to handle it gracefully and show a 'Thanks' message instead of showing an error, which is rather misguiding right?

I just took the developer survey thingy and noticed that there were no dividing lines/alternate row highlighting etc, and this made it difficult to ensure you were ticking the box in line with the correct response/question...

You're correct. He's too much of an idiot that we can spot him in a flash. His extremely poor vocabulary and terrible posts give it away, no matter what he hides behind or how long of a break he takes before coming back here.

He's not actually broken any rules yet. At least not with this current login he's using.
I'm not going to kick someone just because he's posting drivel. If I did that the place would be very quiet

Right, then. I'll ping you the moment this troll violates any of the rules.

Yes, it would be very quiet without Dalek Dave.

Well, it is not always drivel, but I must admit, there is a bit from time to time.

Hi, I noticed that the advanced search doesn't work anymore in Firefox and NoScript addon. I use the advanced search to limit search results to the last month. Even if you allow JavaScript from Codeproject the advanced search won't show up, you also need to allow other websites (microsoft.com). Would be nice if Codeproject website would work without 3rd party scripts.
Cheers, Moak

... how to answer a question, why not an article/post on "How to evaluate an article"?!
Now we've got people giving praise to code dumps where the "discussion" of the code/concepts wouldn't fill a sticky note.
