I use ComboBox.MaxDropDownItems to choose the maximum number of visible items (max 100!);
you can set ComboBox.DroppedDown to make it show the items.

If I understood you right you mean this:
comboBox1.DroppedDown = true;Greetings

I can't reproduce your problem, but you can try this.
Cursor = Cursors.Default; Greetings

Sorry I do not really understand what you mean.
Which button do you have to click twice?
If you just need that an event should be risen, then just call the event in your formload yourself.Greetings

I have set the ComboBox DroppedDown Property to true.
Now the actual problem is When the ComboBox DroppedDown is Shown Or True I have to actually click twice to get out of the form or need to click twice to do anything.
For Example in My Form If I have 2 Controls One is ComboBox and Another Button Which Clicked Just Closes the Form. Then I set ComboBox DroppedDown = true.So When the ComboBox DroppedDown = true to click on Close Button I need to click twice to initate click event on the button.
Plz Help me on how to do it once when ComboBox DroppedDown = true.If Combobox DroppedDown = true. I need to click twice to click on the Form as Well.

This is usually not possible, because if the combobox is dropped down it has the mouse capture.
If you set the mouse capture to an other control it directly loses dropped down state.
You maybe can try to redirect all mouse inputs from your combobox to the parent, but I don't
think that this is possible and even if its possible its hard to implement.Greetings

Hi,
I am building a C# App using Windows Forms. It was working perfectly fine, suddenly there seems to be an System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException.
The error code was copied to my clip board, here it goes:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException was unhandled
Message="Class not registered (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040154 (REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG))"

The error is occuring in the following line of my code:
((System.ComponentModel.ISupportInitialize)(this.axShockwaveFlash1)).EndInit();
I don't know how to debug this exception, kindly suggest me a solution as early as possible. I tried dwonloading Flash.ocx and paste it into my System32 Folder, since Visual Studio 2008 indicated that it did not have that file, whenever I opened the project and closed the VS2008 project window. I have the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player installed on my computer. Also, I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Thanks.

Doesn't work. You have to run REGSVR32 on it to register the control with the system.

I tried what was just posted, however I incurred the following error:
The module "Flash.ocx" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with the error code 0x80020009

Try to use "RegAsm" command... to reg the "Flash.ocx" to the GAC. Thanks

"RegAsm" is not recognized as an Internal or Extrenal Command.
It also will not work for Flash.OCX.
RegAsm registers .NET assemblies, not COM servers.
You just need to register Flash.ocx by regsvr32.exe.
RegAsm can be run from Visual Studio Command Prompt (link in Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Visual Studio 2005\Visual Studio Tools).
You got that error because there are other .DLL files that Flash.ocx depends on that are not present, or not themselves, registered. Now you know why what you did, doesn't work.
Firstly, Thanks for all your help and quick replies.
How do I find out, which other DLL's are associated with Flash.ocx?
There's a utility on the web called "Dependancy Walker". You can use that to look at the dependancy chain, but you are FAR better off just using the Flash installer.

Yeah well, I might as well try that. Cause I just spent a horrowing 2 hours to upgrade my system, because I made some modifications to my Registry which din't go too well, looking into the advises given by some geek on another website for the error code 0x80020009. Thanks again Dave. I really appreciate it.
Now the question is, should I re-install Adobe Flash Player with the latest version again, or should I try some other software. Cause the place where the error is arising is in AxShockwaveFlash, which is just an ActiveX Control?

Clifford Anup wrote: should I re-install Adobe Flash Player with the latest version again,
Probably. Adobe has been busy fixing all kinds of security holes in all of their products.
Clifford Anup wrote: Cause the place where the error is arising is in AxShockwaveFlash, which is just an ActiveX Control?
To fix this, I'd start by reinstalling the lastest Flash Player, then updating the projects reference to point to the new Flash Player instead of the old one. Clean the solution, then recompile and it might just fix it.

Hi All,
After spending far too long trying to use the useless documentation on Equisys (online help for Zetafax), I was hoping that someone out there had a example in c# for the attaching PDF files to a zetafax message.
We have our own custom class which makes use of:-
private ZfAPIClass _zetaFax = new ZfAPIClass ();
private UserSession _userSession;
private ZfLib.NewMessage _newFaxMessage;
This has been working fine for months now, but I have a requirement to add PDF attachments to the fax message & I cannot find any help on this at all.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I have an app that needs to restart after an option is changed. So I'm calling Application.Restart() but there are a few places where the user can abort the close if he or she chooses to. When this happens the app doesn't close, but a new instance opens. Is there a way to detect when this happens and not start the new instance?
