Hi,
Today, I saw the results of VS 2010 is released. I saw a few articles, which I think cool.
Even I wrote one article for the competition :
Code InfoBox Visual Studio Extension (VSX) 2010[^]
I wrote this article on January. Is there anything wrong with that article, that makes it not selected in the winners list?
I think my article is the first one published for the competition, and its popularity is higher than all other articles that won the competition. (I am sure popularity is determined based on the weights of users who voted for my article)
I really dont bother about prizes..
Just thinking about the reason.

I don't think winners are chosen purely on vote average or popularity. There may be a final selection panel of some sort that decided the winners, and given that they are human, their choices will be quite subjective.
So don't worry too much about it. Not winning does not mean your article's bad - just that the judge or judges did not like it for some reason.

I personally think it's a valid question though in future you might want to email Chris directly! It's kinda awkward to ask in public why you did not win.

The graph should not automatically be displayed for everyone to see.
There should be an option to hide it.

Why is it so? Reputation is something one gain over a period of time with certain activity.
It conveys a lot about user. Don't find a reason to hide it for someone.

Perhaps some people would rather it remain private for any number of reasons so whilst you and I might be happy to expose our reputation graphs for public display, others may not. Maybe that should be their choice although there might be a case to say if you won't show it then you get no further points since, clearly, they are meaningless to you. | It could be because I moved the "CodeProject" in the title from the front to the back. Previously the results would be "CodeProject: My Awesome article..." now it's "My Awesome Article - CodeProject..." cheers,

I think the Debator color scheme will need adjusting, unless CP wants hundreds of platinum babblers...

I think based on the new Rep FAQ, we will have different membership status for different Rep!
In that format, might be Platinum debator won't harm much. There should be some place where one can eye to be a platinum one 
Though i am not sure will there be cumulative Membership status or not! It should be.
Also, the cumulative calculation should not be equal for each rep. Weightage distribution should be there for different types.

I've been getting RSS updates using Windows Live Mail running on Windows 7 since October but haven't received anything new since February 17th. Other than the monthly Windows updates and installation of Eclipse nothing else of significance has changed. Has anybody else experienced this?

I believe you! I clicked on it earlier today with Firefox and saw all the updates. But just now I opened the link with IE8 and got this message:
"Internet Explorer was unable to update this feed and will try again later."
The last article shown is "VBA Code Tools" posted on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 10:14:00 AM.
I'm sure it's something on my end but I don't have a freaking clue. Argh!

just went and compared some revisions of John's latest tip; it has revisions 1, 2, 3, and latest.
Here are a few scenarios and the outcome:
A) checked 1 and 2: shows comparison of 1 and 2
all is well
B) checked 3 only: shows comparison of 3 and latest
OK, nice even
C) checked latest only: shows comparison of latest and latest
doesn't make much sense, does it?
D) checked nothing: got an in-page sentence "You need to select two different revisions for a comparison "
not true; see B) and C)
and we can't select two identical revisions, can we?
E) checked 1 and 2 and 3: got a nice little MessageBox stating "A maximum of 2 revisions can be compared."
hamster humor?
suggestion:
- check the latest revision by default
- always require exactly two checks
- use a single error message "exactly two revisions need to be checked for comparison".
