We can use Title value instead of Alt Value for Smileys.
<html>
<head>
<script>
function getTitle() {
document.getElementById("txtValue").value = document.getElementById("thumbsup").title;
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<form>
<img id="thumbsup" align="top" alt="Thumbs Up" title=":thumbsup:" src="/script/Forums/Images/thumbs_up.gif">
<textarea cols="60" rows="10" id="txtValue" name="txtValue"></textarea>
<input type="button" name="btngetTitle" value="Show Quote Text" onclick="getTitle()" />
</form>
</body>
</html>

Search for articles on CodeProject, then re-search for articles with another term.
For example, I searched for "MFC", which shown me few results. Then I searched for "C++", which shown me relevant articles.
Now, I clicked on any of articles that were outcome of "C++" search. On the article page, it gives suggestion for the first query I made (i.e. for "MFC") under:
"Not quite what you are looking for? You may want to try:"

I can't tell in any detail, it has to do with layout behavior under extreme conditions. I expect there to be a difference only on really wide windows, so you'll need either a wide monitor or a virtual desktop.
Text doesn't read well when it gets very wide; web pages get designed for some width range, which typically is much smaller than the width of those "rather large" monitors. If I had such a beast, I wouldn't make my browser window that wide...
That's for certain, especially with languages you don't read very well. I have one 17" monitor rotated to portrait (old pic here[^]), which I use for documents.
I think the max width should be 800px of fixed width layout. I have 1280 width and it doesn't get in center. So basically its for extra large screens, thats rare.

I posted what was probably an inappropriate title for a post in the Lounge and Pete notified me that it shows up on the homepage. I changed the title of my post, but it is still showing up on the homepage with the old title. Bug? Cache hasn't updated?
Nevermind, I see the new title now. Probably just a cache issue (e.g., maybe there's a periodic job that checks Lounge posts then updates the homepage).
IMO probably everything on the home page is delayed; I know from experience posting/updating an article takes over 10 minutes to make it show on the home page.
That's only because we all have a good chuckle at the article before it gets officially posted.

So it isn't a nipplegate countermeasure after all?

No - those ones are sent directly to my inbox.

They probably do full table scans and are actually running at 100% processor usage doing all these homepage updates.

Using Chrome any edits to a quick answer comment are not applied when clicking the OK button. I tried this with Chrome and the same comment with IE9. Only the latter worked as expected.

I've notice several times when using Chrome and posting links that although it forms the anchor tag, with clickey, both hrefs are missing a few of the last characters form the URL.

There's your problem. Code doesn't like to be licked. Try buying it dinner first.

That's so wrong.
Have you done a Ctrl+F5? I have a feeling it could be an old cached version of the script. I've tested this end and it's working fine for me, but I did have to update the script a week or so ago.

THIS[^]
I surfed this article It's just Published recently.
At a bottom of the discussion thread I found some what to be illogical, That The article is voted by several persons to which author have replied, But I suspect on which post Author haven't replied, That all the users have joined CP since last months.
And I bet this all are account created by Author, That's why he didn't take care to reply all of these.
This may be fine but I am just posting 'cause I found this suspecting.

Good catch. I back your theory here. It certainly looks like those initial 5s were from puppet accounts the author or a friend created. It's an abuse of the voting system in my opinion.
