I was amazed that he would think that CP's 'VB Go To Guy' would not be capable of helping.
I think he may be in a lot of trouble, not having English as a first language is not usually a barrier, I often re-edit for clarity, and people can work around that, but rudeness is just unacceptable.

Hi, please clean your words. that looks very rude and shows you do not give importance to people who are there to help you here. This is not acceptable.
Second, Solution for you is:
Get data from DB into a DataReader/DataTable. Make use of a dynamic HTML Table and add HTMLTableRow and HTMLTableCells. Better still use asp:table rather than HTML table. Do some Google for syntax and code.
But, why reinvent wheel, when you can do something in neat way!

Do you want to download a file from a FTP-server, or copy a file in your LAN using the filesystem?
In the first case;
Is the remote PC an FTP server? Can you reach it with a tool like CuteFTP?
In the second case;
You'll need code to recursively copy folders and files.

Thanks for the reply , well i was trying to download file  from a machine on the local network, Cute FTP even cannot access it. thanks i think so i got the answer , but anyhow is it possible that we user FTP on a network, what is proffered to copy files on a network , i used File Copy API at last.

FTP won't work unless the server you're copying from is running an FTP server.
If this is a local network, I doubt it's runnig FTP. You're more likely copying files from a shared folder on the server. To get at those, you simply have to supply the normal File copy method and supply either a mapped drive letter path to the source, or a UNC path.

i have problem with data1, i am trying to network a project of mine in VB6..
the scenario is this,
i have an MS Flexgrid and i want to fill it with data from a Data1. the problem is that the ms access DB is located at the Local Server from our network at office.
i was able to manage at least to connect the DB using the code below

DatabaseName was the fully qualified path to your database. In your case, it's exactly the same as your Data Source value in your connection string.

hi,
i have a problem with my project. i have an existing system which is a stand alone app. using ms access 95 file format, created in VB6 using Visual Data Manager... well because it's a bit old system. but is runs quit very well.
the system owners decided to make the app. run over the network, they have a total of 10 workstations on their office. 1 is for the primary admin (Win7 OS) and 4 is for staff (Win7 OS). 5 are for users (Win XP SP2 OS). the database is located at workstation 1, the other computers wants to access the database.
here is a sample code given to me:

Conn.ConnectionString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0; Data Source=\\IP Address or Computer Name\DIR\masterFile.mdb"
as the path
but i get an error "User-Define not defined" on
Dim Conn As New ADODB.Connection
am i missing something like an add-on or reference maybe, like in C# we used to add the reference for SQL connection.
do i need to install something?

I can only hope IP Address or Computer Name isn't what you are using...
