Suggestions for Search in Comments/Posts:
1. It allows search on Keywords, Posted by, Messages posted between . But it would make better if allow combination of above three with Forum option.
Ex: Search only in Visual C++ Forum.
2. I was seaching for my old comments/posts, then I saw [Modify|Delete] option for the old posts. Then to test it, I tried to modify the post but I got this error.
What's use of [Modify|Delete] for the old posts?

In the forums the Expanded view is meant for Supporters only, but Can we atleast get a peek at it?
So that we can know what we are missing by not purchasing Visual Studio .NET package from CP.

I just noticed (after reading Shog's thread below) that I am not getting the CP newsletter for I don't remember how many weeks. More than a month, I think.
No, I don't have a hotmail account. And yes, I have checked the neat little checkbox in the settings page which says I want my newsletters in HTML.
I also remember now once long back when I replied to someone in one of the forums, the notification message sent to him bounced back (to me) saying that the Dundas network (or whatever words they used, it's been a long time) is considered a source of spam (!!??!!) and so they are rejecting the mail.
Could this be the reason? Has my ISP also started rejecting mails from your network? If so, could you please look into it? I mean you could start by finding out if your network (or some of the IPs) appear in one of the "black lists", and if so ( ) contacting the maintainers of the list.

That can definitely happen. Some spam filtering software is too efficient and marks a lot of stuff that isn't spam as spam. Put 'Free' enough times in an email and it will get rejected.
We're upgrading a bunch of systems (again!) on Friday so maybe this may help (though it certainly won't stop misguided spam filters)
cheers,

Thank you Chris. But I also noticed that I am getting reply notifications, so maybe the newsletters are not getting rejected after all. I am probably just not getting them.
And as for the overly clever spam filters, I would rather have some spam with my mail than have genuine mails rejected.

Rohit Sinha

Sometimes comments add much to an article. Could there be an option to get a printable page of an article with all comments?

I think it would be great if people who have downloaded the code of an article get notified by email when the article is updated. This can be done as currently registering is required to do the download.

If something like this were to be implemented, I would prefer a "Notify me of updates" checkbox with the article, rather than an automatic notification to every one who has downloaded the code. I will often download code just to see how it was done, and then implement my own version. Or I will find that the code that looked promising is not what I wanted. In those cases I would not want to be "spammed" with update notices.

Yes, that's my opinion too.
To get an overview to what articles an upgrade notification was choosen a summary page could be provided for the user (just like the article bookmarks). It would then be easily possible to cancel a subscription to the upgrade notifications.

Cool idea but perhaps people should have the ability to decide wether or not they want these notifications.

How does one search the message boards here at Code Project? I used to have a little search bar at the top of the forums where I could enter a word to search for, but I can't find it.
Has this feature been taken away? I certainly hope not...
