Wow, and the original article was better, so the "author" couldn't even steal properly.

This suggestion was marked as fixed, but does not appear to be fixed. I notice:
- Caligula773t has 129,059 reputation points, all
earned accumulated in a very very short time. - The reputation graph does not match the reputation points.
Maybe this is a test user one of the hamsters created?
EDIT: Maybe just found another bug (perhaps already known). I am editing this post, 42 minutes after it was originally posted, and didn't get "[modified]" added to the subject or "last modified on ..." added to the signature.
EDIT 2: Oh, the "[modified]" and signature change were applied, but they now apparently don't show up when I edit the question and click "preview". Is that a bug or intentional?

The last person that skimmed the site the account was removed. Don't know why this one is still active, to remain consistent, it should be canned as well.
I never checked after it went 'Fixed'.........

I see 129,059 points in the rep graph and 129,059 in his profile. His account has also been removed.

On purpose. Doing this fixes a bug that's been bugging (get it? Bugging? Get it??) Luc for ages and allows me to display modified times a little more sensibly while not polluting the message text or subject.

There are two representations of the reputation points within the reputation graph. One is the little key on the top left, which lists the numeric values. The other representation is in the form of the lines. On the left of the graph (the y-axis), there are ticks that indicate reputation points. The largest of those ticks on the graph in question only went up to 80,000 (should have gone at least to 120,000).

I've tried adding one of the RSS feeds on the drop-down on the CP home page to the Sage RSS Firefox extension, and it comes back blank. (http://www.codeproject.com/?cat=4[^]) The online MetroRSS feed mentioned in the Lounge says that the link is invalid.

Ah, OK. I see what's happening: when you hover over the RSS button, the dropdown that lets you pick which topics to display on the home page drops down, making it look like you can pick an RSS feed for each topic. My misinterpretation!

When currently browsing a forum, e.g. The Lounge, there are two visible search entry fields. One in the green menu bar, and one just above the forum beside the pager.
I thought the one next to the forum restricted any search within the forum, and left the larger one in the menu to be a site wide search facility, but this is not the case, the one at the forum still appears to search everywhere.
Can the smaller search field at the forum, not be restricted to search within the forum you are browsing which makes more logical sense to me given that two search fields are available?

It does. Well, it should
Enter a search term in the search box next on the forum header bar itself, click search, then on the search page results, under Page X of Y, you should see "Category filtered by: General Discussions [x] | The Lounge [x]"

Thats what i thought.......
However, I did notice that the main search bar although empty went yellow, chain of events, Starting point was browsing The Lounge.
Main search used.........didn't find what i wanted, hit back
Forum search used.........still appeared to show everything, and had articles and all sorts listed in the results, hit back
Noticed the main search bar had gone Yellow (and had 'Search' in it).

Did you type the search term and then click search, or hit enter?
I've gone through your steps in IE9 and it's stubbornly refusing not to work for me.

I just voted you 3. Where are my rep points?
The current score was less than 3 so I voted you up and should be rewarded accordingly.

I was heavily vited last night for this[^] and received 5 's. Looking at my rep history the votes do not appear anywhere.
[Okay, I'm being a Rep-Whore but I am so close to 100k, I think it's allowed.]
[clarification for Fat*]
I'm being a bit of a slut over it because I'm approaching 100k, but that is not the point. If there's a genuine bug then low-rep bunnies may be loosing out and to be honest the [guestimated] 100 points missing will not effect my standing, but it will effect newer members.
This is a community[^] after all and working together is what has made this site rock.

The system stops giving you rep points after 15(?) up-votes on forum messages (and stops deducting points after 15(?) down-votes). Chris can verify the number of votes. Personally, I think the cap should be removed for up-votes.

Thanks John, I just checked [should have done so earlier] and yes it's capped at 25 each way.
I will STFU about it forthwith.

There should be a limit on giving, but not receiving (as I remarked to my wife the other evening).
