When editing a tip/trick which is pending for approval I noticed that editorial rep points are not gained. This seems to apply even if the tip/trick gets published. Is this intentional?

In this post[^], the author typed in upper-case "PCB" between angle brackets in his code that creates his generic List.
The editor changed "PCB" to lower-case "pcb," and stuck on some extra tags at the end of the code-block.
I was able to reproduce this behavior several times in my own answer to his question.
Let's try it here:
public List<PCB> list = new List<PCB>();
Not seeing it happen here as I preview the formatted post as I'm writing this.
And, the formatted code is appearing properly here: suggests to me this is a problem local to QA.

I received a comment notification in the email, and it contained some clickable links to LimeWire
Do not reply to this email: To view, click here.
RaviRanjankr has posted a comment to the Answer "Facebook JavaScript SDK":
5+ eztv, limewire eztv, limewire
However, when I visited the post here to delete the links from the comment, they don't exist.
Post is here; Facebook JavaScript SDK[^]
Is the system stripping the links from the website, but leaving them in for the notificaton? Surely you want to be stripping them before doing the notification.
Part 2: I'm Taking over to the Spam watch forum though
Now, the other thing is is the user been sending these comments just to spread the links, and have no way of knowing as they don't appear on the website.
I checked some of his messages randomly and yes appears to be the answer as he is at it with his forum posts also;

Have you gone into your settings and checked your signature settings?

yeah! you are right it just happened because of malware and viruses as you said. but why it only acted while using CodeProject only. I used so many stuff like emailing,messaging on other site but never get such type of problem except in CodeProject
whatever I removed it and now everything is going fine for me.
By the way thanks for the help

I have noticed someone randomly bookmarking a lot of my posts. Even those that are comments and not solutions to anything, which seems abnormal. Wonder if he has scripts running up his points.

Someone bookmarked 5 of my posts on Saturday 12/3. This hardly ever happens.

You can see the breakdown on points in your rep history. click on the rep score in top right hand corner next to your screen name. It shows the dates as well.

It just seemed a bit odd allocating the points to "Organiser" status; but I guess you have to add them somewhere.

Given the comments in his bio, I wonder if he's selling the stuff!

Roger Wright posted this: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4092167/Help-With-My-Homework.aspx[^] to the Lounge a day or two ago. For some reason it was moved to the 'Free Tools' forum.
The only reason I can see for it being moved is the word 'homework' in the title. Roger was asking for other people's experiences with working outside their home country. Possibly whoever moved the post was over-zealous, and didn't actually read the post before moving it. I certainly don't think there was anything in his post that was unLounge-worthy.
Along with that, I don't understand the reasoning behind moving it to the Free Tools forum. That sounds more like a drag-and-drop gone wrong than anything else.

My only guess as to why that post would be moved to the free tools forum is if the person who moved it thought of Google as a free tool that Roger might be looking for to answer his question (moving it for that reason would be a bit cheeky). Still, I don't see a good reason for it to have been moved at all. Good spot.

I've been looking into this and have discussed this with Roger. I'm tempted to move the post back but I'd rather he reposted to ensure the message gets the exposure it's entitled to; moving will move it back but will not provide any exposure since it'll be pages deep.

Given the depth of Roger's feelings on this, I'm pretty sure this isn't going to happen. The consequences, as noted elsewhere, are a real shame.

Then I'll repost it for him.
I trust those to whom I have given the power of moderation but somewhere a mistake was made. Roger's a sensible guy (in fact, one of the more sensible I've ever had the pleasure of knowing). However, we'll wait and see.
