No need to move it, Chris. The point's moot, since the deadline for the assignment was Saturday. But I reserve the right to repost it one day as a discussion topic, as I think that many members have probably been tempted to look into offshore work, and could benefit from the experiences of others who have walked that road before them.

Ah, bugger. I could have waxed lyrical on the subject. None of it probably would have been admissible, but when would that ever stop me blathering endlessly?
Again, I apologise for the mixup.

How do I change the email address where Tech Summit announcements come to? The current address is different than my Code Project sign-in address and the emails I receive contain no link for address changes.

Hi Steve - I would be more than happy to update your email address for you.
If you could provide me with your email address I can make the adjustment. You can send it to aimee@codeproject.com.

This user[^] has deleted his articles as suggested a couple of posts below - however his rep for them still seems to be in place.

That's a bug. We're not clearing out download rep points on delete.

Hmm... maybe those points should stay?
Those downloads have happened and the downloaders have benefited from the code they accessed. Even if the code is no longer available to others, the original people still have it if they chose to save/use it.

The person who downloaded the zips certainly keeps the points. However, if an article is deleted then all rep points for that article for the author are removed.

Yesterday my article Gradients made easy[^] experienced
a period from 6AM until 11AM where ~900 downloads occured. It seemed kind of odd since previous to that
time 10-15/day has been the norm.
I experienced the same thing on my site a while back where over ~1000 downloads occurred over a ~2 hour period.
Don't know whether anyone else has experienced this problem and it's only happened just the one time but
thought it worth relating.
Thanks,
Mike

I would like to delete all articles posted by me on codeproject.
Would request the admins to do so.

Why I can now see the reply link in the Soapbox, I get a 'do not have permission' page if I click on it.
Let me know if there is anything I need to do.
Thanks,

I just tried it on your account and it's working fine for me. Is it still an issue for you?

Just as stated... These files are plain text but the viewer refuses to display them.
Maybe other kinds of scripts are affected as well.
Thanks,

I've tested this locally and it's working fine for me. Can you please point me to an article where it isn't working? I'll take a look.

Chris,
for example, this one. In the code browser navigate to ver-self.cmd.

When someone posts a reply (comment or question) to an answer or comment of mine in QA the system sends me a nice email so I can go straight to the message and respond if necessary. Just recently it has started doing the same for messages that I am posting as replies to others. Is there a reason for this?

Found the issue (a code comment added during debugging that we forget to remove). I'll try and upload the fix tomorrow.

Hi Chris,
And since you've found that issue, I hope the issue ... which I have moaned about too often ... of receiving all notifications from QA posts, or comments ... when my CP settings are globally set to not allow notifications ... will be soon resolved also.
thanks, Bill

Just to clarify (and apologies if you've already stated this):
Notifications (in QA) are sent when
1. Someone posts a comment to your question or answer
2. Someone posts a reply to your comment on a question or answer.
Do you want to disable notifications for both or just one of these situations?

Although it was short, it was sweet. Keep up the good work with the interviews.
